    Angry Spider problem

I seem to have a bit of a spider problem. Mainly redbacks!
Thing is, I don't really mind spiders as they keep the other bugs away, but when it comes to poisonous ones, I don't really want them around, especially considering DD plays in places where they live...
Thing is, I want to get rid of them, but how?? Is there a natural way or do I have to spray chemicals?!
    Any help would be appreciated!

We had a similar problem to this when we were living on the gold coast. We had so many redbacks, they were everywhere, they even started coming inside. I tried spraying crawly crunch but they kept coming back, so in the end I got the flick man out. he sprayed everywhere and told us that it would last for 12 months, but at the 6 month mark they were all back again, so we had to spray every six months in order to get rid of the pesky things. You cant really take chances with the poisonous spiders, particularly around children, so yep, I would say that you need chemicals

Same here but mainly outside everywhere. Hubbywants to do it himself but with ds1 wanting to go outside and play i think its going to be safer to get a bug man in! Maybe do a google search? Sorry im not much help.

Don't muck around with spraying them yourself

Get the pestcontroler in to do it as they know exactly what product to use

And just be really careful immeadiately to spraying as they can (for obvious) reasons get very aggressive whereas normally they are a fairly 'meek' spider (red backs that is)

Ack - we had the same thing. We got someone to come in to spray, using "Bifenthrin" and DS and I had to leave the house cause we're still breastfeeding. Since then all the spiders have died, but DS can't play outside because his skin reacts badly to the residue I wish I had never had it done.

I know in the "Speed Cleaning" book, they suggest using lemon oil to deter spiders from inside, but I think you'd need a hell of a lot for outside, and you'd be constantly doing it.

I have no advice, just anecdote.

Do mess around with anything else, it doesn't really work, give the pestcontroler a call.... you will get better and longer lasting results that way..
