    Default House broken into

This morning I woke to find out back sliding screen open (I thought perhaps my husband hadn't shut it properly and the cats opened - yes they are clever). But an hour later when I went to look for my purse, something more sinister had happened. Seems we had someone come in while we were asleep in our air con room with door shut, and take our purse/wallet, mobile phones, and my Kapoochi nappy bag - with everything in it.

Not impressed at all. They can't even try for prints as they said they wouldnt' get any from the door as we touch it etc. I'm so angry because I had to cancel all my cards, lost about $200 and my DD lost her really excellent sipper cup plus an outfit and nappies. And my really great nappy bag.

I just am so sick of things happening to us - we keep getting set back after set back. First we had my DH lose his job, then heaps of bills came in at once, then we discovered we've got termites and now this!!! If this is karma I'd like to know what we have done that is so bad!!

How awful Sharon, it is such a terrible feeling of violation when you have been broken into. There are some low people out there.

I believe in Karma for some things but I dont believe you have done anything wrong to warrent this.

Some people are just so low and silly so they do bad things thats effect other people.

Gosh if they are going to hurt someone I wish it was themselves.

An innocent person always gets hurt.

    So sorry to hear.
The exact same thing happened to us. They stole about 200 of our dvds, a mobile and some other knick-knacks.
They did take prints however and can you believe they caught the person.

In conclusion a woman was paying a few teens in her neighbourhood to rob some of the houses in the new estate (most houses were still in the process of putting their fences together-our's too)
They found $80 000 worth of stolen property in her home.
    Stoked they found her.
Just glad we had all of our dvds insured.

i had that happen to me a few years ago when we were living at forest lake. the kids were at their mums and hubby got up early and went to work. i had nothing better to do that day so i slept in - then i had a shower in our ensuite when i got up and wandered out intot he rest of the house. i noticed that the laundry door was open and just thought hubby hadn't closed it properly. i was worried that the cat had gotten out so i went out to look for her and i saw that the gate was open too (we never open the gate unless we were taking the bins out and it wasn't bin day) so i went inside to call hubby. i couldn't find my mobile in my bag or my wallet. i went in the lounge to use the fixed phone and saw a syringe on the floor ( a used one with blood on it) i called hubby and then the police - i was really shaken up and couldn't stay there - the real estate let us break our lease a few months early. in the end they took my phone and wallet and our camera - i think they might have taken some cd's too but nothing worth paying the excess on our insurance to get back. the hardest part is trying to replace everything in your wallet - and all the phone numbers in your phone.

to you. i hope they can find the person who did this to you.

We are insured but I'd say that in reality the amount they stole isn't worth that much or enough to claim insurance. I'm just bummed as I loved my nappy bag and the sipper cup, and it is a pain having to get new cards and a new phone.
