    Lightbulb Weekend Holiday Suggestion...

Hubby just called saying he has Friday off work - So that means we have a long weekend before he goes away for 2 months on Monday. What better time to spend a weekend together - when he gets back I'll be 31 weeks along and may not be up for a weekend away anymore...

Now all I have to do is work out where we should go? North Coast? South Coast? Anywhere with a beach. Can anyone make a recommendation?

Ill put my vote in for Port Stephens. We used to go there every year. Beautiful beaches. . .quite a few things to see if thats your thing . .lots of places to eat (always important when your pregnant).

It might be to far for a weekend. . not sure. .really hard to remember how far it is. .was a few yrs ago now.

Tuggerah is sposed to be pretty nice.

Just might be tough finding a somwhere to stay because of school holidays.

Maybe you guys could splash out on a fancy hotel in the city for the weekend. Then you can go to bondi or manly etc. And you dont have to worry about a long drive.

    (Can you tell I dont get out . . ever. . )

Port Stephens sounds good... We live at Coogee and go to Bondi every weekend for church - so it kind of isn't a holiday anymore.

I'd LOVE to take him to Cradle Mountain in TAS - Hubby has always wanted to go there... but we would be pushing it for time with only 3 days (2 nights)

Pain in the backside. Defence force always gives us last minute notice about EVERYTHING. Oh well...

Just tried to organise a tassie holiday to Cradle mountain - it'll be no less than $2k so I dont think we'll be going there...

    Hey Pink,

I am a south coast girl all the way Berry is beautiful and only 10 mins away from any of the beautiful beaches like Gerringong. There are some great B&B's down there. There are amazing cottages at Hyams Beach too which is in Jervis Bay. If you go there you will see me cause we are going there on friday for a week! Give me a minute and I will get you some links
