    Default Milo For Baby?

Following on from another thread about milk drinking - I would love to know

Is there anything wrong with bubba (14 months) having Milo with her milk?

Any hidden nasties that I don't know about?

I've never heard of any reason not to give a 14mth old milo. I think I gave my DS milo at around that age...he didn't like milo much, maybe it was not sweet enough for him coz he seemed to like nesquik
I didn't give it to him very often coz of the amount of sugar in the nesquik, not sure that milo is much better in that area either tho.

I find that my DS has never really liked milk (except BM). He was never given formula as he seemed to refuse everything (might try a mouthful). I was still giving one feed a day (morning) until about 6weeks ago as I was concerned about his lack of milk (cow's) intake. My mother recommended milo - not on any dr advice, but because it seemed to work for my brother (he's 38now). He was given regular milo from about 12months in his milk as he apparently always seemed hungry.

DS didn't seem to go for it, he get's most of his milk in a morning bowl of weetbix. From anyone I've spoken to, milo doesn't seem to be any problem at this age (was used in days before formula), but I've just started blending a banana with milk for DS (from this week) and he's loving it.

Yeah, I would tend to prefer them not to have all that extra sugar at that age. I would much rather blend up a banana or some strawberries/mango/yoghurt with some milk.

At the childcare centre my child used to attend they gave the kids milo and that was in the room where there was kids up to 2 years and at that stage he was about 16 months old. He wouldn't drink it though.
