    Default new kitten- lost

    Hi all,

This might sound like a silly question, but I will ask it anyway. I have never owned a cat before, so that can be my excuse.

Anyway we have a twelve week old kitten, who seems to have gone walkabout. Will she know how to get home again or should I start to panic(even though I already am!!)

    Smile Hmmm

Thats a hard one, it really depends on the cat..How long have you had her? You are "supposed" to keep new cats inside for 1-3 weeks(pending on cat) before allowing them outside....this helps get their bearings....
How long has she been missing?
    Have you tried calling?
You know what, I deserve better. I will stand up and out of your shadow, I will feel the wind in my wings, I will learn to fly, you can stay and enjoy my freedom or leave, either way I was born to fly.

Try calling and leaving cat food about,

Normally kittens should be kept inside until both vaccinatons are done - it also gives them time to aquaint themselves with the area.

    She'll be back

We have had 2 cats who both went missing on around the 4th day, and both returned safe and happy a few days later.

Try calling the closest vet. Otherwise check the drains outside. That's where our kitty loves to hide.

Thanks for all the replies. Well I spent forever searching for her both indoors and outside, calling her name and rattling food in her bowl (this usually has her running over) but still no kitty.

I was getting very sad and searched around some more before having to go out and do some grocery shopping. Well when I got back, who should greet me in my hallway as I opened the front door, yep my little trixie!!!!!

Still have no idea where she was hiding, its got me stumped. I'm just so glad that she isn't lost.

yay! I'm so glad she's back. Kittens can hide in very small, random places.

Glad to hear little Trixie is back safe & sound!! I have often thought my kitties have dissappeared, only to have them finally come home looking at me like 'what were you worried about?'! LOL

A couple of times, i've even called all day with no luck, to find they've been hiding somewhere inside, ignoring me! Little sh*ts!
