    Smile Camping meal ideas

We use to LOVE fresh damper... wrapped in alfoil & buried under hot coals till cooked!! spread with melted butter and golden syrup or for a special treat we would chop up mars bars, malteasers, smarties or M&Ms Yummmy lol... not much nutrition but tastes good!!

    Other camping meal ideas...

Stews & curries are great (chuck in watever vegetables and meat & add some fluffy dumplings on top)

Jaffles - Loaf of bread and a jaffle iron...fill with watever tasty ideas you come up with (spaghetti mince, left over stews, toasted cheese ham tomatoe....or sweet ones... strained tin fruit or apple and cinnamon?? ect)

    Hope these ideas help!!

If you go camping often I highly suggest you get a camp oven. (if you are camping where you can have camp fires that is)
We invested in one.. and we could do anything and everything in it.
The lid doubles as a fry pan on top of it - so you can do veges in the bottom and meat on the lid.
We did roasts and cakes and everthing in it!!

Other than that - normal camp recipes:

Lots of pastas (tomato based sauce kind)
    Salads

    * Tuna, sour cream and lettuce pasta : cook spiral pasta, add sour cream, lettuce and tuna.

    * Baked potatoes : slice potatoes and place in square of foil, add butter and garlic, throw in coals.

Hmm i just realised Im not much help - all my ideas just disappeared out of my head.

(oh and dont forget to invest in dry ice!!)

We camp quite a bit and I usually just adapt our home meals or do the simple ones.
The previous poster mentioned a tuna dish. Ours is similar but consists of one tin of tuna, a few spoonfuls of sourcream and a couple of spoonfulls of tomato paste-mix and heat and serve over pasta or rice.

Burritos or enchiladas are always simple to do. I precut the chicken so it just has to be tossed in the pan.

Traditional mixed grill and I precut a bunch of veges that just have to be boiled. This is usually for the first night.

Fettucine/linguini with chopped bacon, mushroom, capsicum etc... and a jar of pesto sauce stirred through.

Rice pudding is always a hit with our children. just add milk to cooked rice and heat slowly then sprinkle brown sugar on the top.

Pancakes are always easy and you can throw chopped berries or cooked veges through the mix to vary it.

    Hope that helps a bit.
