    Unhappy My Cat Passed Away

I can't believe it........My cat was fine yesterday and this morning she wasn't eating or drinking and then just lay outside, closed her eyes and died. I am so shocked because she was 8 years old which is not really that old and she was perfectly ok before today. The worst thing is I have to wait for hubby to get home before I can take her to the Vet as I have no car. This is so terrible.

oh I am so sorry to hear that. My puddy and my puppy both died unexpectedly recently and I found it very difficult to deal with. They are like members of the family.

Huge hugs to you. At least it sounds like she didn't suffer at all. Obviously it was just her time.

What is really worrying me is that hubby and I think that maybe she was poisoned because our next door neighbour complained to him a couple of weeks ago about her miaowing in the mornings. It makes me feel sick to think that someone would do anything like that.

    WHAT?!?!!? That's horrible!!!
If you can take your cat to your vet and they can let you know what the cause of death is most likely - what kind of person would do that to someone's pet?!!?

    They did that for me.

Unfortunately my Vet can't do that, but they said they will check her over free of charge for me which is nice of them. I have covered her with a towel and I keep expecting her to get up from underneath, but she isn't. I can't believe it...........the weird and eerie thing is that we were contemplating whether to take her to Melbourne with us or leave her with a friend in Adelaide and it's just so uncanny that the decision has been made for us now.
