    Default I can't believe it's been a year

A year ago on the 17th of December 2005, at 3.24pm I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Elmar. He is now a year old and I can't believe how fast it's gone by. Even so, I still remember the birth. I was woken by an urge to go to the loo around midnight and when I went, I realised my waters had broken. I panicked as it was 3wks 2 days too soon. Hubby was at work and luckily i had asked mum to stay with us a little earlier otherwise I would have been in trouble. I hadn't even pack my hospital bag. Once I got in touch with hubby, we rushed to the hospital. I was in labour for about 15hrs and after 2 hrs of pushing, our beautiful elmar came out. In tears and overwhelming jouy, the first thing I said was 'it's a boy!' It's been 12 mnth since and we have overcome the hurdles of the 1st year. He is now starting to walk and mumble a few words.
it's only been a year but it feels like we've known him 4eva.
