I got married 2.5 years ago and DD was flower girl. She had a dress and a back-up dress. Both dresses, her shoes and her fluffy jacket came to about $120. Ebay people, ebay. Here is a gratuitous photo of my gorgeous DD on our wedding day.

That is crazy we got my DD a flower girl dress around the same age for about $60 from David Jones on special. Was so beautiful and luckily we didn't spend more, she made a mess of it within an hour lol

Anything in excess of $200 is too much to ask IMO.

It wouldn't be hard to find something suitable AND affordable, surely?

I would spit my coffee out in shock if someone expected me to pay that kind of money.

That dress is gorgeous! And proof that you don't need to spend a huge amount!

That is the craziest thing I have ever heard! Are your SIL and brother well off? To think anyone can spend that sort of cash on a baby's dress? A 16month old flower girl is going to cute whatever she wears!

I'd LOVE to know how much she spends on her own dress!!

Update after a few back and forth emails my brother called to say he would pay whatever we didn't want to pay. I declined the offer because I think it's ridiculous to even think about putting a baby in such an expensive dress. Also I don't think she will be able to walk in such a big puffy/heavy dress. I sent some similar and more practical dresses on eBay but apparently they are all not suitable.

Just got an email saying it's to late for other suggestions because the other flower girls (sil niece's 3and 2) have already paid. So my brother will just pay for DD dress send through measurements asap!

Little mad! Hubby just thinks let them waste the money no point being the trouble maker but I really don't feel comfortable with it at all.

I can't believe the other flower girl's parents were happy to pay! It's an insane amount of money!

I know seriously $3000 in dresses for one day. I've only briefly talked to her at the engagement party I thought she was normal, nope she's insane!
