Anyway too late now. I'm still sending her next Friday. Everyone was wishing her a merry Xmas and I said "oh no, we will see you next week!"
I wouldn't see it that way. Numbers tend to be low so heaps of staff generally have time off if they want it. In my experience anyway.

I'm still sending DD1 as I really need that time to concentrate on DD2 and her feeding issues.

DS's daycare is open until the 23rd.
He will go next week until Thursday.
I've got the week off work to prepare for Christmas and I know it probably seems indulgent to leave him at daycare when he could be home with me but we've decided that it's better to have him at daycare with his friends having fun than being at home with me while I clean or being taken grocery shopping (which neither of us enjoys). The following week we'll be home together.

Our daycare is just closed on the public holidays.
dS only attends on fridays so he will still go, we have to pay anyway

I have only just got my DD used to going, we have some tears when she is dropped off, but then she is happy to join in. I will still send her the one day a week so that she stays in the routine, but I will shorten the day.

I'm a teacher but have always sent them for their normal days unless we go away. Generally it's a shorter day though as we all sleep in!

Not only does it give me a chance to get things done but the consistency is easier in them. Coming back from holidays/a week away from daycare is almost like starting all over again with separation etc.
