I started losing my mucus plug yesterday morning! No pains or contractions but had lots more mucus this morning again. I know this could be related to the sweep and doesn't really indicate that labour is close, but it's better than nothing and just so glad something has happened in there.

Thanks for checking in! Well it's been quite a day! Went in for monitoring this morning only to be told that if I don't want to be induced tonight, they have no openings for inductions until Thursday when I'll be 41+6! After an internal I then found out I'm almost 2cm and cervix is slightly more dilated and moving forward so I'm favourable for an induction (scored 6, compared to 2 from a few days ago). They said I won't come in the evening for cervical ripening but rather they can go straight ahead and break my waters in the morning. So it was either tomorrow morning or Friday morning and I just wasn't happy pushing it out until Friday so tomorrow it is!

But, I did have another sweep around 1pm and I've been having contractions now for the past hour and a half, about 6min apart consistently and definitely not the usual braxton hicks tightenings, this is sore period pain type contractions. Went for a walk and they kept going and haven't stopped but also haven't got stronger or closer together just yet. Desperately hoping this is it, but so weary to get excited...come on little one!!!

Just updating that my beautiful boy finally arrived safe and sound last Tuesday night! So happy I got to experience going into labour naturally, however my labour didn't progress well and I was slow to dilate so they did end up breaking my waters and giving me the drip to help things along. Of course my labour wasn't the peaceful water birth I was hoping for and I had an epidural and forceps as a result of the drip but I don't even care because I was just so exhausted and so relieved to finally be holding my gorgeous son at the end of it!
