Default Best Formula for constipated 9mo?

I know all babies tolerate formula differently but just after some advice/suggestions. My DS is 9 months old & has Bellamys organic but he keeps getting blocked up.

He's had this formula for 3 months but he was mix-fed until recently & the extra formula/no breast milk seems to be blocking him up.

If I try a different formula how long would it take to see a difference? I've been giving him pear, little sips of water & today I gave him 10ml prune juice diluted in 10ml of boiled water but I think it would be better if he didn't get blocked up in the first place? Thanks!

With formula you might get lucky with the first formula you choose but usually it takes a couple.

I personally used nan gold and didn't have an issue.

I think Novolac have a constipation formula.

Don't forget to massage the tummy and do bicycle exercise to help.

    Good luck

I just bought a tin of Nan Comfort so I'll see how that goes. I might look into the novalec one too!

Yes his little tummy feels hard sometimes so I try to give it a rub in the bath.

    Thanks

Really good thanks! After two bottles of the Nan Comfort he was absolutely fine! So happy, must have been lucky. I chose the Nan Comfort because it was on special for $17. He's been on it for over a week now & no issues. Thanks for checking

Well I wrote too soon! He is blocked up more than ever now. Has anyone tried the Novalec Constipation formula? If it worked how long did it take to kick in?

I used SM26 gold and sm26 comfort mixed together. My paed recommended sm26 comfort by itself but found that using with the Std one in the right proportions it worked well.

Novalac constipation formula is really good. From memory it only took a few hours. DS did feed every 2hrs though & it was 240ml each time. He started using it around 8 months.

I've had him on the Novalec constipation one for a bit over a week now & coloxyl drops but no improvement. He hasn't done a poo for a few days now so I think I'll have to take him to the doctor
