My grandfather's parents did this for him and I have quite a few out of his collection of childhood books from the 1930's and they're so special to me, so I wanted to continue the tradition for my boys

We got the hipkids balance bike. It's convertible so you can add pedals and/or training wheels to it later if you want to. And it's such a cute bike!

Default What are you getting your kids for Christmas?

DD (almost 3 years old) is getting from us:

Little Mermaid doll (tail changes colours in the bath)

My little pony (has a small etch a sketch attached) book

    Summer pjs

    Undies & singlet set

Stocking stuffers: hair brush, sunnies, mini frozen toy eggs, play jewellery

Not much at all but we are interstate for Christmas so needed to think of luggage restrictions.

Her bday is early January so she will get more then: daycare bag, lunch box, easel, art smock, playdoh, paints, finding dory book and memory game.

My Mum has gone completely overboard though

We follow that philosophy as well but no 'need' thing, instead they get 3 presents from us and one from Santa.

DD (8yrs) is getting a telescope from Santa. From us she is getting a bike, a hamper of craft sets and a book.

DS1&2 (3 & 5yrs) are getting 4wds with trailers and boats from Santa. From us they are getting scooters, goal posts and soccer balls, and books each.

My 4 older boys are getting blue tooth headphones (lost count of how many sets of headphones we have gone through this year due to cords/wires becoming loose) Nerf Guns and some bits a pieces. Littlest monkey is getting an activity table and some bath toys.

Oh kites are so underrated! DH is a kite flier and in Adelaide we have an annual kite festival, DD should be old enough for it next year which will be lovely!
