    Default I need a makeover!

    Girls, help please!

I've really let myself go after my second baby & want to spruce myself up a bit. I'm heading home for Christmas & catching up with lots of friends I haven't seen for a few years & want to feel less frumpy. Plus I just think I'm ready to put a bit more effort in.

My greys are out of control, so hairstyle/colour is a must. And I need new clothes as currently my wardrobe is just casual basics.

I was also thinking of getting my eyebrows done as people seem to take them very seriously these days 😄.

    What else would you suggest?

Also, how do blondes manage greys without having to spend a fortune at the hairdresser?

    TIA.

    Oooh, how exciting!

What percentage of your hair is grey? If it's not that much, you might get away with just a half head of blonde foils which shouldn't be too expensive. Get a style cut to go with it.

Sourcing some nice new clothes will give you a boost for sure.

I agree with getting your eyebrows shaped. Perhaps some fresh new makeup would give you a lift too? One thing I like is a filled-in brow - not the dramatic painted on dark variety, but you can get little brow kits with a setting wax/powder to fill them in. Works a treat.

Book a makeup lesson at a beauty counter! Most places will have the cost redeemable on products.

Look at alternating between half head or full head foils. You may even be able to get away with just a few foils.

Very exciting! I would start with a facial to refresh your skin. Also a manicure and pedicure make you feel more groomed, perhaps a bit of a defuzz anywhere you need it.

What is your current hair colour OP, (barring the greys)?

Maybe you could go a colour (either block or foils) that is totally different to the colour you have now.

A new chic style cut is always an easy instant make-over.

Definitely eyebrows, as they frame the face, so well defined/groomed eyebrows can lift a face and look stunning.

Exfoliate your lips with a little scrub. I use Lush's sugar and choc/mint scrub, though all you need is a little castor sugar and olive oil and you have your own.
Before you apply lipstick, a little lipstick primer on your lips too.

As for your question regarding blondes and greys in-between salon visits you can buy some professional toner and a tint and touch up the roots/greys etc, much cheaper than going to a salon every 6weeks or so!

Woohoo! I have blondie ginger hair and colour myself. L'Oréal blonde or light blonde. I invest in a good shampoo to get rid of yellow blonde. Le lorenzo silver plus a good treatment paste/ toner. I do my own eyebrows too with a supermarket cream product. Just a few ideas.

Such great advice, thanks girls. A de-fuzz would be wise & facial is such a treat, will book in for those.

Think I'll try a new hairdresser & optimistically hope for the perfect experience. I call my hair mousy blonde if that make sense? But my hair is curly so cuts are tricky. Greys follow my hair line, part & underneath so fairly prolific I would say.

Makeup session is a great idea, I've always wanted to do that.
@A-Squared, have you seen a stylist? Good/bad? Would love to if its worth it.

    Off to exfoliate my lips!

Littleriv, how long do the colours last? And does it combat greys?

I occasionally use Revlon and hair looks salon colour finish when done.

Get a pedicure and hair professionally blow dried. You will look amazing.

Hi there L'Oréal does combat greys. I do it as required usually 4 to 5 weeks. I stock up when on sale for 50% off at coles or woolies. I cant afford the time or money to go to salon every 5 weeks to have roots done.
