    Default Mirena and exercise afterwards

When have people gone swimming again after a Mirena insertion. have put swimming lessons for my son on hold for the last 6 weeks until post natal check. My GP didnt really know how to answer the question and left it up to me as to when im comfortable going again.

My gyno said at least 24 hours to give the cervix time to close up to prevent any bacteria traveling up in there an causing infection.

I bled for a week after insertion of copper iud and I felt pretty crappy (could have been timing of periods and bleeding for like 10 days in the space of 14) so I waited until after then.
