    Default Foundation

    Ladies,
    I need a new foundation. I have been wearing MAC studio sculpt - great staying power but not the exact look I want. I was talked into the Napoleon China Doll on the weekend but I don't like it at all.
    I want something dewy, I prefer the well known brands and not drug store foundations.
    Can anyone recommend something?

    Smashbox cc or bb cream from Mecca. Also has photo finish products in the same range. Amazing products that will do exactly what you need and look amazing on (and skin hydrated)

    Bobbi Brown foundation compact is great too. I was a Mac user for 15 years and have tried everything under the sun. Napoleon is rubbish.

    What is your skin type?

    I was also going to suggest sheer glow. Also Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation is dewy (very mixed reviews though - best for dry skin).

    Any of the watery foundations like Bobbi Brown serum, Tarte rainforest of the sea etc.

    Do you have Sephora/Mecca Maxima close by?

    My skin is normal/dry, I'll head into Mecca and try out your suggestions!! We don't have a Sephora in Perth unfortunately

    When you go to Mecca check out the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick. I usually use MAC but saw these the other day and they look amazing. I want to try them when I run out of MAC.

    I know you'd prefer non-drugstore foundations, but I recently bought Maybelline Fit Me Dewy & Smooth and I would highly recommend it. I previously used to use MAC Face & Body and it's similar, but offers more coverage.

    Prior to this I bought MAC Mineralize Moisture foundation and unfortunately wasted my money - it's awful.

    The MAC mineralize range is awful!!!

    The last time I used Maybelline (it was a concealer) my eyes puffed up - I'm too scared to go anywhere near their products again.
    It was around 15 years ago but I am scarred, I had to have a day off work!

    Any foundation sticks will tend to be 'drier'.

    Should be fine as long as your skin is hydrated.

    I would possibly just trial out one or two for the day and come back to purchase after you have it on for a few hours.
