so true , a lot of focus on egg & sperm but lining is paramount .Drs in Greece are now realising quality of lining can be measured in different ways & are experimenting on cases .

Ive seen a Chinese dr who suggested western medicine measures the lining , but its like looking at a field in the distance & not testing the soil ! A good analogy .

    Hi ladies

    Interesting read.

I love honesty!!! But it usually gets me kicked out of forums. Cause someone complains. So I refrain from it now.

I started jabbing yesterday so here we go. Go follicles go!

    I don't mind a bit of philosophy myself Luv....wise colleague IMO 😊

I say r.e the Lap if it were me I'd want to be covering all bases & making sure I'd turned over every stone IYKWIM Luv.

I'd be pi$$ed off if silent endo or a fibroid was stopping embryos from implanting & I was was wasting $$$ on Cycle after Cycle.

True, I want everything checked properly. I will see what he says next week about the lap. I'm definitely doing the hysteroscopy/biopsy

Hi @Phia , I've only just started to take some Chinese tea medicine . He asked a lot about my specific cycle , like flow etc .then took pulse & analysed my tongue .

proof will be if clotting goes away which has been an issue since Ivf !

    Hi @ange1111

All I know is that my dr in Greece said there's studies regarding predisinolone & its potential effect on lining . Status of the pinipods impacts implantation , so microscopic biopsies are being trialled in Greece to see the lining health & pinipods ( funny name isn't it ) the trial is on multiple failed transfer clients .

    Hi ladies

I have posted on this and the Greek thread back in May-July, but had to leave (long story) and have returned with a new username.

Hello to @gorgeousgeorge who has been corresponding with me in private and being her truly gorgeous self. I hope you're ok Hun.
Also big congrats @Rhino and I hope you get looked after properly soon, there are some great Drs in Perth who are so supportive so I hope you find one soon. Thanks also for your private support during my cycle. Big hugs.

I have read some of the threads on and off and I'm very sorry for all the recent sad news. It's so depressing and my heart goes out to all of you. @Blossom74 so sorry to read your news. Hope you catch a break soon

So a bit of history and apologies for the long post!

I'm single and have had 5 stim cycles, 2 FETs with OE and 1 DE cycle x 2 perfect blasts. BFNs on OE cycles including my TET transfer. Then an early miscarriage on my DE cycle last month. So in total I had 16 embryos transferred in the past 2 years. Day 3,4 and 5 with a combination of grading from average to excellent with a couple of poor for good measure. I'm 42 so the first 14 I took as being old eggs but now with a DE failure I thought there may be something else going on, or maybe it's just my typical sh*tty luck

So at @Flower78 I met with Dr S to investigate if I have immune issues etc. well he is really thorough and I'm glad I found him. I first saw him 2.5 weeks ago and everything has moved so quick. I had about 9 vials of blood taken for all the immune testing and he done a hysteroscopy, and endo biopsy today and found I had a uterine septum. Which basically is tissue that can seperate the uterus in two at worst or partially. Not sure how bad mine was as Dr S told me in recovery and I was a bit out of it. This can cause miscarriage (which I had one naturally years ago and then the early miscarriage last month) and also implantation issues, where the embryo tries to implant in/near that area as it has poor supply of blood flow etc . It's congenital so I was born with it. So he removed it whilst doing the hysto. I'll get all my results in 2 weeks and an explanation of the findings today.

I'm shocked as I had a hysto/lap just over 2 years ago as had irregular bleeding (ended up being down to severe stress), but I don't remember this being mentioned. As the procedure wasn't fertility related maybe he decided it was irrelevant?? They found minor endo and adhesions which were removed. So I'm cross about that and now think I may have had viable OE embryos wasted. But I have made my peace with DE and the baby I get is the baby I'm meant to have.

So I'm very thankful I met Dr Saba. I say have the works with him! He is also a no gap Dr as is the anaesthetist he uses. So the only OoP cost is $150 for some clinician fee. The hospital is lovely, I had a private room and the nurses were great.

Also he told me he believes whether women 40 or over have immune issues or not, he recommends intralipids. He's an Ob/gyn and not a fertility specialist but he specialises in immune issues and failed ivf/recurrent miscarriage. He consults with a Dr in the US who is an FS/immune specialist, but I didn't ask who.

Anyway sorry for the long post. Good luck to all xx
