Default West Gippsland Hospital (Warragul Hospital)?

    Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone has any recent experience with West Gippsland (Warragul) hospital? As I've only been able to find older posts online.

This will be my second child, but first one born here in Australia and I'm pretty nervous. I've just moved to Pakenham and was knocked back from Casey and this seemed hospital seemed like a good option, but I've since read some reviews about the doctors there that have made me nervous.

I've also read that husbands/partners can no longer stay the night? So if anyone knows if that is accurate or not?

    Any info would be helpful!
    TIA smile

    Hi
I had my first 2 babies at Warragul and LOVED it, my husband was allowed to stay both times but this was back in 2008, 2009. It may have changed now. It's a lovely little hospital and I had great experiences there. The doctors I came into contact with were lovely as were all of the midwives. Couldn't fault them.

I had my 3rd baby at Dandenong, and also had a fantastic experience. If Casey won't accept you they'll offer you Dandenong which also is part of Monash health.

    Hope this helps

thanks, it definitely helps to hear of peoples good experiences. I have my first appointment at Warragul next week.

So am going to ask all my questions then, but I thought I'd get as much advise as I could.

    Thanks
