Default What motivates you... to work?

Looking for some inspiration and encouragement

Apart from the obvious, what motivates you to work apart from money?

Haha..nothing! I'd love to be able to be a full time SAHM.
Actually, my work collegues are fab..I love going to work for social connection. My work also interests me intellectually. But given the choice I wouldn't work....

I think for me it's a sense of achievement or accomplishment. I love a good challenge ... a chance to put my heart and soul into something and see how I go. Also love the feeling of having made a mark on my field or a difference in an individual's life

I don't currently work. But when I do eventually work in my dream field, it's because it's something I just really want to do and that will give me a lot of self satisfaction. It will make me a fantastic role model for my children.
It's definitely not about the money. Which I know because I'm currently away from home to finish of my training to do it on a wholly volunteer basis.

I saw this on Facebook this morning. It perfectly articulates how I feel about my current role (registered nurse) and future role (midwife)

I love what I do and it stimulates me mentally and challenges me. I also feel a sense of accomplishment when I get things done and I feel respected and looked up to by my employees and clients. All these things motivate me and give me satisfaction. The money is obviously motivating too, but I've known people who make a lot more than me and are extremely unhappy and unmotivated
