Oh my gosh. 4 people confirmed to have died. They think it was a family - mum, dad, uncle and young boy.

On the news now they have said that the raft flipped, people trapped underwater, possibly caught in the mechanics.

ETA they have just been showing live footage. The raft is standing upright on its side on the conveyer belt. It looks like there are white sheets over parts of the belt, so I am really really hoping it is not the trapped people as that's just poor taste, but it sounds like they're still waiting for forensic police to arrive before they can remove them. It is just so awful. My heart goes out to everyone who was there and involved not to mention their families. Even the workers are going to be completely f***** up after this.

Reports are saying that the ride had broken down twice already this morning. Not sure if what happened is related or not, but far out.

Chatting to DH about it and he was saying there are apparently reports that the people who died had undone their Velcro seat belts and were standing up in the raft at the time.

For anyone to witness it would be awful, but to see your own family die in front of you in such a tragic way would be devastating.
