@Yasna, we stayed at the Best Western Amazon Hotel and were very comfortable - restaurants in every direction, 2 minutes walk to Syntagma Square so very central.
Sounds like you've got the supplement protocol under control - I did a similar thing before our trip ... lost some weight and went to the dentist and basically tried to be as ready as possible and look what I got in return
    When do you fly out?

Best western amazon here as well(second stay) the best beds in town, also the plaka hotel (first stay) a block down has a lovely wee roof top bar where you can sit and watch the sun go down over the Acropolis

Triplets !!! yeah BRING IT ON !!!

I'd love to know your protocol? Am I missing something?? I feel like I am, the Dentist has been on my list, I'm due for a clean.

I'll google those hotels you and @stacey10 have mentioned, I really want a new experience next trip, staying at the President wouldn't be the same. I want a new place, it MUST have buffet brekkie !!! New place new baby lets hope this all works I'm so nervous..

I'm worried about clexane, Dr Wazza had me on it from the get go, and Dr Nikos said to have it a few days before transfer, I really don't think he prescribes it. But I did clexane last time, till 12 weeks and now I'm just not sure...Your advice is appreciated...who was on clexane?????? I HATE THAT BLUNT HORRIBLE NEEDLE!

If I can avoid it, I'd love to, but I feel if I don't do the same as last time I won't have success?????

    Thoughts????

@Yasna I was on clexane and I found icing beforehand helped. It worked for you last time so if it were me I'd go that route again. Dr Nikos said it was a good idea for me as a previous blood test was elevated, but inconclusive. He said with the flying and progynova it was a good idea. But yes I don't think he prescribes the longer term usage unless you have a specific issue.

I'm also seeing an immune specialist here, results next week so my plan is to use his protocol in conjunction with Dr Nikos.

    Happy Friday ladies

@Monty73, I heard from my old FS that clexane can help reduce any chance of blood clots from the hormones we are on. Plus flying bla bla erh !!! I guess some pain for pleasure in this case. Icing, yeah good idea, Oh how i hate that needle.

I'm umming and arring about dates, late February, or Late January ..erh..

Hi @Yasna, I was on Wazza's supplement protocol, while also focussing on losing weight. I did that by making up a huge batch of vege soup every week for my work lunches, cutting out bread, having porridge for breakfast and portion control at dinner. I also ended up taking a high strength probiotic for a month or so - got knocked around by an antibiotic, so had to get my poor gut back into working order (sorry if tmi).
I believe that the biggest thing for me was the dentist trips though - I had a couple of old mercury amalgam fillings that were starting to break down and needed to go, as well as being in need of a good clean. I have read that the bacteria load in your mouth can have a significant effect on your overall health and well-being, so it just made sense to get it sorted before we left.
Perhaps the only other thing to suggest would be an appointment with your OB/GYN just to check that your oven is still in good working order - make sure you don't have any polyps or fibroids that could impact on implantation? Other than that, you know your body, and you know what worked for you before, so stick with your winning formula xx.

I do know that I went to Greece without a doubt in my mind, a very positive attitude, and felt healthier than I had for quite some time. The whole IVF rollercoaster does absolutely nothing for our self esteem anyway, and then the final straw is being told that your eggs just aren't good enough! I was holding onto the 60% success rate with my entire being and knew that this would eventually give us a take home baby!!

Thanks for the reminder @AngelD, I must get some probiotics ! I was recommended that by a fertility naturopath ages ago. Good gut good body? Something like that. I used to always take them first thing on an empty stomach.

As far as booking obgyn oh dear, havent really thought about it, just going to get a scan and see what they find? I'm just going through my local doctor and saving money paying a FS for hardly any work. I'll get scanned on day 13 of this cycle, just to see how everything is in there?? I got my period today ...yay...i feel horrid. But I can't wait to start again !! Im really looking forward to round 2 !!

Looking at hotels however is stressing me out, some of the ones I like have no buffet breakfast erh !! I have a few months to scour the net...I'll find something I hope, keep any recommendations coming !!

Angel you were saying positive mindset yada yada, I was a mess last time !! I was crying in Dr Nikos' waiting room after seeing this gorgeous Melbourne couple who just found out they were having a baby. They wished me luck and left and I felt so single and alone, I cried and cried, Dr Nikos reassured me and helped me relax and calmed me down. Next time I go, I will be more relaxed hopefully since I don't feel so alone anymore. I have my little baby boy, who by the way, will be a year old in 2 weeks !!!

Good luck and healthy pregnancies for every woman !!

Good news about a friend of mine who just returned from Embryoland, shes pregnant!!! Her first bloods came back in the low 400s, she's so happy! This was her 16th IVF cycle, shes had such a struggle and now she's finally pregnant thanks to Dr Nikos and his team. This gives me hope, shes 47 and I will be turning that next year. ..

I've been looking at hotels, driving myself crazy since I hate not knowing dates when trying to organise flights/hotels etc. But at least I've narrowed it down to the Plaka, close to the action and the choices are endless it seems. I'm still searching, searching...

It's a little bit exciting planning my next cycle. I hope the Gods and Goddesses give my son a sibling. I hope I'm blessed enough to be able to carry a child in my womb and create another beautiful human being. I have no doubt in my doctor, but I worry about the embryos not thawing properly and then coming home with nothing. I hate it when I worry about things out of my control, but I guess I'm only human.

Default Egg Donation in Greece #5

@Yasna - very exciting news for your friend! Congratulations to her!

That's wonderful hope - of course worrying is part of the equation!

Those embies are from a young woman so they're gonna be bouncing about with energy - like it's on a red bull! They are gonna thaw nicely. Even my ****ty old eggs would thaw ok.
Your donors are gonna look like supermodels!

Big hugs and FX. Everything will be ok.
