My DD starts next year, orientation starts next week. The school is great, a lot bigger than the country schools a lot of you are going to! Ours has 750 students but the grounds are huge are there's loads of trees/green space. DD is a little anxious about it, she's always nervous in new environments, but is very excited about her new lunch box!

I haven't got uniforms yet, I should probably get on to that soon!

DD is my eldest so this is my first experience of being a school mum!

Hope you don't mind me joining. My DS 1 starts kindergarten (NSW) next year. He's really excited and is so ready to go. It's awesome to hear of all the transition days other have. We only have two in November. I'm not worried though as DS will attend the same school where he has been at preschool for the last few years and DH is a teacher in the school also. I'm so disorganised with the other details. Although I have been eyeing off cool lunch boxes online.

Cue my DS is going to a big school too but it sounds a lot like yours - lots of green wide open spaces, lots of trees ..
    600+ students

Glad I'm not alone. We have a yumbox and it's great but a little small maybe. I absolutely want a plant box. It I'm not sure that I can justify the price. I'm trying to convince DH that it could be a Christmas present. Not sure though.

These are the lunch boxes I use. Just Sistema ones. One is for my current 1st grader, the other 3 for my preschoolers. The one that's moving up next year will just keep his lunchbox

I bought both and the planetbox is by far the best - ( I've got heaps of photos and ideas if you need any) DS started school this year and loves it
Good luck ladies - I can't believe DS only has 7 weeks of school left and then he's in year 1!
