Default What brought you to Bubhub?

    Hello all

In light of some chat today about people's experiences of Bubhub, and a perception it's changed over the last little while, with not much to read, I thought I'd start a thread so people could talk about what brought them to Bubhub, and why they stayed.

For me, I found Bubhub via a Google search, when I was looking for things about same sex parents, as I didn't know many same sex parents, or same sex couples TTC in real life. I found a great community here, and lots to read!

So, what brought you to Bubhub, and why did you stay?

For me, I joined when I found out I was pregnant in 2014. I googled and found a few threads that were interesting reads, and then eventually found my way to a due in group.

I stayed because of all the support I got when I lost that baby and all the support and wise words everyone on here has to share.

I joined when I was pregnant and researching a shortening cervix ( which I just discovered I had at 28 weeks) a few members put my mind at ease and I've stayed as it's nice to chat/talk/debate with like minded mums at all hours of the day and night!

I was another one who googled. I was pregnant, looking down the barrel separation, totally isolated and lonely.

I started a thread asking for advice that almost no one responded to, but for some reason stuck around anyway. It became my safe place as I kept commenting on more things as what I was going through was deeply personal to me and I couldn't talk to anyone in real life. Then I was in a dark place and posted a thread asking for support and was stunned and grateful at the number of people who reached out to me.

The hub was my safe place for a long time, and the amazing members got me through the darkness of my separation and PND and other patches of cray. It stopped being my safe place a little while ago, but I'm hoping to feel that way again soon because it's important to me. I think it will.

Infertility. Ivf. Which then lead to an amazing facebook support group for Ivf, many of which I have caught up with lots in real life, talk to daily and many I consider absolute life long friends. I am so thankful to bubhub for bringing us together, it's a real sisterhood of beautiful women.

I think I found bh as a suggested app when downloading something else.
It was when bh was really active and full of lively discussion, at a time when I was craving adult interaction, so I hung around.

Default What brought you to Bubhub?

The first time I joined in 2010 under a different username I was googling for fertility specialists. If not for bub hub I wouldn't have found Wazza and wouldn't have DS2.

I stayed because IVF and infertility is a lonely journey and o found the hub to be a wealth of information and support. I left because I got stalked.

Came back with a new name looking for support and friendship on discovering myself unexpectedly pregnant again.

Google. I had a newborn, was clueless and this forum always came up.

Like @harvs I started a thread seeking advice, not many responded but I was so glad anybody did!

I then lurked for a long long time, long enough to forget my user name, then started again seeking support for controlled crying (not realising not many on the hub supported it lol).

I became instantly hooked. I felt so isolated and it was a lifeline. Had a lot of bumps along the way, threads going sour, offending people with my wording, got much better and comfortable with time, I guess as others got to know me and my intentions.
