Twins I could handle – triplets not so sure (especially my body at my age)! re your question – I was put on microgynon to align my cycle with donor and to ensure 28 day cycle. Then when we got to Greece I was put on progynova (much cheaper there so bought heaps to bring back). That’s it no other drugs/meds. I take heaps of supplements but that is my own routine nothing to do with Dr N advice. And no – no medicare rebate for overseas cycles.

    Thanks @Blossom74 yes it has been frightening – but I am grateful that it’s all ok!
    @Rhino its the utrogesten /progesterone thats cheaper in greece mate :-) and you had to do progynova (estriadol before you left for lining yeah?)

    Yeah thats what i was thinking too @Tahli, so i think dr.n said he would base it on how many mature eggs there were to start with but yeah im thinking id like at least 5 eggs fert. with donor sperm. But if dh's look ok on day 5 will i transfer them or go with donor's? Idk... im thinking dr.n will tell me what numbers to do and which to transfer on the day and tbh im happy to let someone else decide. Seems like a good idea to get the guy with the fertility degree to make the recommendations (i forget that sometimes thats why we pay them lol)

    Yeah also... i got a bit thrown today by a lady who had 1 failed cycle with dr.n who posted in the greece thread a bit like she though the "poor sperm" was an excuse he makes if cycles dont result in bfp. Also sge said she didnt get 'after care' but she's the only lady ive ever heard say something negative. And another lady (who is a really lovely friend who i spoke to personally by phone as she offered to chat) who tried 3 times but no luck. So she is going USA too. I think at first it threw me because i thought the ysa clinics offered the same re donor matching, all eggs etc... with same price for 3 transfers but its not the case. So, just nervous straw clutching, which im prone too. How many times did you go to sa my friend?

    @gorgeousgeorge always love your posts! Great research...I’m like you – I wouldn’t want to go to USA! Sorry your DH isn’t chatty...makes it even harder to make decisions! Hoping all goes well and you find the best way forward for you both!! Oh and yes – utrogesten (progesterone) cheap in Greece – also purchased cyclacur in bulk in Greece which is estriadiol as I have to take that until ?heart beat or 12 weeks – i need to confirm that with DR N as I forgot... I was upset by the comment on Greece thread – so haven’t been back on the thread as there’s nothing I can do to change what I’ve already done and I don’t want to hear negative stuff about the Dr who I have seen in action and I believe really cares! Wasn’t sure why she was on Greece thread when she was talking about USA stuff??
    @Heyside thanks and good luck with you next cycle!!

    @Rhino i think when it doesn't work its natural to get a bit bitter and blame your fs. I was angry with aus fs at first after our poor experience with donor eggs as in he should have diagnosed this but normal sperm tests were always good, he's 'proven' has a daughter and the last 3 cycles we never had enough embies to take past day 3 onto day 5 and he gave me the option to do so but i declined it, so really what indication would he have to diagnose that esp. when i clearly have bad endo, poor response, iykwim. I also think sometimes people get angry when they are told info they dont want to hear and try to find someone else to tell them differently rather than process it. I thinks its also natural to defend the fs who gets you your bfp :-) Although for my friend kate, i can understand after 3 goes trying somewhere else, but i cant remember the severity of the fertility issues involved or whether she us ysing donor eggs or embies so i guess im just hoping my issues arent as serious and /or i wont be as unlucky :-)
    Regardless, i do hope they both get preggers. (Lol, you wait till Yasna reads those posts mate- she lurves dr.n and she's greek so she's fiery, gonna be interesting ;-) )

    welcome back @Heyside I didn't realise you were still on the rollercoaster
    @tuxcat, yeah, its basically mayonnaise!
    @gorgeousgeorge never apologise for 'Me' posts, thats what we're here for. I was considering DE in america too at one point as I think you can have known donors? Just something else to add to the confusion! Your DH sounds lovely BTW if not terribly helpful. These wonderful men who just want us to be happy.

    I don't think I'll be having anymore babies. I've never had a natural BFP, not even a hint in 8 years of trying, so no accidents happening here!
    @Blossom74 can't wait to hear of your pupodness tomorrow
    @Jazzabelle13 and you too! Best of luck with your embie(s?)

    @Heyside thanks so much for mentioning how wazza said even all the sperm tests cant definately tell (same with bloodt eggs, embies too i guess) I figure my approach and dr.n-s approach is: all the tests in the world sometimes cant tell you why and yes, im sure there are some probs they dont even know exist so how can they test for that? So sometimes, i think, if you just want 'a baby' the best thing to do is just keep swapping the baby making ingredients. Dr.N said to us, "I dont know but sometimes people like you two are just no good together and i dont know why" (meaning it in a nice broken-english way) I kinda appreciate his honesty and its reassuring to hear wazza thinks so too although, it totally sucks for you my lovely friend that this may be the case for you too. I guess sperm can deteriorate just like eggs.

    I just had a crazy idea about going to greece, doing simultaneous own egg ivf with sperm donor and dh sperm, and a donor egg with sperm donor and dh sperm cycle, transfering everything left at day 5 at once and see if i have a Nadia Suleman tribe of mixed up babies from 4 different people. I would totally be famous and get my own reality tv show. Mwoo-haa-haa.
    Omg, just realised it could be 5 people if i used 2 different sperm donors.
