Question 7 year old Daughter always itchy

I have seen a Dr but got no where and i can't work out what the issue could be.

She is complaining of itchy underarms and the thighs and above her vagina but her vagina itself isn't itchy.
She has no rash and we haven't changed washing powders or body washes. It seems to be more itchy in the mornings then the afternoons.

    Any ideas?

Could be a mild allergy. I used to get itchy feet from citrus...but the itch felt like it was on the inside, so I couldn't scratch it, and there was no rash etc.

It could be an allergy to the detergent you are using OR FOOD....

I would go to the skin specialist to rule out most of the symptoms....

    best of luck

Is she closer to 8 than 7? Large/tall for her age? It could be prepuberty related, given the locations are all places that start growing hair early in puberty.

Not saying that she's about to sprout short and curlys, just that the hair follicles may be starting to respond to hormone changes which could cause an irritated feeling.

Without a 'rash' a reaction to something environmental seems less likely.

We have had no change in diets or cleaning products in our house. And the itching isn't always everday, some days are worse then others.
She is only just gone 7yrs old but is tall for her age.

Did not think of that at all. Good to know for future.

Any recent growth spurts as well? Could just be stretching? Have you tried using some soothing moisturising cream?
