In fairness she doesn't claim to be or probably even want to be a role model for young kids.

I don't think she's trying to be a role model for young kids? Her market audience would be women in theirs 20's but also mostly young mums with a lot of products she represents or runs. I've actually never paid that much attention to her but I kinda liked her insta account, not the selfies but the interior shots, shoes, kids etc.

Point taken - agreed. I don't think she should be held up as a role model for women either.

Why not? She is a mother, wife, owns multiple businesses, tv presenter, speech pathologist, model and I'm sure many other things.
Looks like a great role model to me!

She's also an extremely successful businesswoman who is university educated, seems to have sufficient interpersonal skills to maintain a happy marriage, is able to laugh at herself and loves her family, while seemingly managing to be well-liked and remaining scandal free, and, I would bet money, has had to fight harder than most to establish herself as someone worthy of respect due to value judgements that are placed on her because she is a) female and b) attractive.

Not too shabby a role model, I don't think, whether she wants to be or not :-)

She makes her living off perpetuating the ideal that women need to look good in order to be valued. She's focused on appearances and brands and combines the two to flog products that force those same ideas on vulnerable and susceptible women.

I would admire her more if she made her living off her brain not her boobs.

That's your opinion (which you clearly are not going to let up on) but it's not up to you to say for all women. Perhaps time to agree to disagree?

Everyone comes from different backgrounds with different values and different ideals. So what? I think we need to be respectful and stop criticising.
