I'm SO angry and upset - went to my GP this morning because I have a sinus infection and when I asked her about the antibiotics being safe for pregnancy (in the 2ww at the moment and hoping for a miracle), she told me that I shouldn't still be trying to have another baby.
She said that having another baby isn't going to take away the pain of losing our daughter and that we should be happy that at least we still have one child and that if we did have another baby, the age gap between our son and the baby would be too big.
I never want to go back there again (we've been going to this clinic since I was born), but I think she has to sign off on my Supercare application and I'm pretty sure she won't agree to do it, considering her comments to me today.

@siansmum Those comments are not ok, especially coming from a professional who should know better. Sometimes even the smartest people can say the dumbest things.

Yes, your GP will need to co-sign yr application and write a letter of support but if you make an appointment with a new GP I'm sure you'll have no trouble - they are used to assisting new patients all the time.
You'll be fine - and by the sounds of it you already realise that the comments your GP made are rubbish. Hope the rest of your DE journey is progressing well X

Minniemin I used the one off depot injection too. So much easier than daily injections or sniffing. Bought it through an online UK Pharmacy for approx $400. 😊

    Oooh thanks @mardicharli..

    Quick questions, if I may?
Did you buy online because it was cheaper or was it unavailable here?
And can you remember how long it took to ship? Did you need to send a script?
Thanks, sorry about the quizzing, I'm right in the thick of it all here - need to start meds in a couple of weeks
    Xxx

    @Minniemin no problem. 😊
I purchased it online as it was (2 years ago) a lot cheaper than I could find here. I also couldn't find the correct dose in Aust, only ones double the dose and I could see no point in paying for more only to be wasted.
My FS faxed the script directly to the UK pharmacy although I think you can get your dr at CFC to do the same?
It took just over 2 weeks for the injection to arrive, although they also had an express option which is quicker.
If you need to start your meds soon, I would be ordering ASAP. I started by ringing around a few chemists in Aust for prices first (I think Chemist Warehouse was cheapest?) and found most needed to order it in too as it's very expensive. Only a few days needed though. Then found it online a lot cheaper and ended up ordering through them.
    Good luck!

I would be finding a new GP, PM me if you need a recommendation of a lovely Dr who has been nothing but encouraging to me in my quest for a family. Can LB assist with the supercare part or does it have to be a GP?

Thanks Emski72. I'm pretty sure the forms have to be signed by both my GP and Lynn. There is another doctor at the practice who has known me since I was born and who would hopefully sign off on it all for us, but if he doesn't agree to it, then I'll need to look around.
I'm so angry and upset that she would say this to me. Who is she to decide what is best for our family? Make her walk a day in my shoes, and then see if she thinks the same. Why does it have to be so bloody hard???

OMG! She has no right to have opinions like that! I would find another GP. Have you got a fertility specialist in Australia that could do your Supercare form? I am angry on your behalf!
