    Very excited about starting.. !!
Dear, we are in good hands!!! I totally get the anxiety and worries part, also the fact we have to do research and look out for ourselves. Wazza's team is great, hopefully this means we can relax a bit more and enjoy the wazza care.

wow, thread 5 already ... just following everyone's stories, hope all you girls are well!!!

agree with @Gagingi, if you've managed to get in with Wazza/Charlotte, you're in great hands! I've also seen both and now with Charlotte as ob/gy (17wks to go!!! not that I'm counting )

Hi ladies…it’s been awhile. I have been reading your updates on your journeys…so much going in all your cycles, very exciting and I’m sure that the once you get those BFFP!! All the disappointments and the tears will be worth the hard work you’ve all put in.

My time has most recently been consumed with house renos, trying to ensure everything was finished so DP and I could move in the next few months and be ready to bring our darling little bundle home. And then busy with our families coming to visit…then I was sick with bronchitis which seemed to go on forever.

AFM right now – my donor was back in Australia doing another cycle and we were all set to meet up which we were both looking forward to. Her so she could see how ‘round’ I’ve become and me coz I was so happy to show off what she’d helped us achieve. Then things took at rather different tack so we were unable to meet up.

On Monday I went ot my GP to check out my cough that was still hanging around, just to be sure that my bronchitis was gone and wasn’t make another appearance…I’ve never had it before and it was ugly. Well turns out that the cough was fine but he was a little concerned about the swelling around my eyes. Then after checking my blood pressure which was high compared to anything he had on file, which was pre-pregnancy…which led him to a urine test that came up with protein and I think his alarm bells started…so a phone call to Charlotte who insisted I get to the pregnancy assessment unit at the Mater Mothers. 5hrs later I was given the news that Charlotte wanted me admitted…but as my DP was in transit coming home from WA as his swing had finished they allowed me to go home and take the car so he had it for the next day…as well as get clothes etc.

Tuesday I think we were still a little blissfully ignorant that we’d get more tests done and then they would stabilise my blood pressure and I’d be sent home and they would check me regularly. Well that night we were shattered when Charlottes first words to us were that I wouldn’t be leaving this luxurious Spa Retreat until our baby has been delivered. Followed by...'and I’m hoping I can keep baby snuggly inside for at least the next few days'. These are words you don’t want to hear at 25+4…especially to then find out that best case scenario is we may get to 28wks.

We are slowly getting our heads around it all and have been bombarded with information about what is all the expectations and outcomes for the different gestation/weights that our baby could be born at. It’s pretty overwhelming but they have been very supportive and Charlotte has been great. She organised with the Neonatologist (premmie baby specialist) to come and speak to us which again was pretty confronting as they don’t hold back and are quite frank about what the future may hold. They also want us to go and tour the NICU and they’ll show us little baby’s that are of the same gestation as we are…I’m a little worried that this will be the breaking point for both of us as we’ve been able to hold it together (pretty well…well ok in public anyway ). But they are definitely about preparing you and ensuring you have all the information you need.

Thank you to my lovely friend and support @MamaKes.

Well I guess I’ve delivered you a novel…sorry, but I don’t think there will be too many over the next few weeks as I need to try to settle in to this new routine and try to see if I can manage to work from here.

    Take care
