    Default Mature pregnancy considerations

My 2nd is due in May 2017 and I'm 37. Anyone else in this age group - have you been taking extra folate or vitamins??

    Hi JenC79...
I am 14w with baby number 3 and 38 years of age. I've not taken extra vitamins just taking folate and iodine along with vitamin d and aspirin.

Yes, to improve blood flow to the baby due to me being overweight. Not sure if it is a recommendation for me only because of my weight or my mature age as well.

Hi @JenC79 I'm 37 too and almost 28 weeks with my first. I've just been taking In-Natal vitamins (same as Elevit without the iron due to a hereditary disease where I can't take iron) and vit D.

Hi ladies, at 39 I had my second DS 11 wks ago via emergency c-sec. I had grade 4 placenta previa and it was dropping and growing into my cervix but that can happen to anyone at any age. I took regular vitamin and drops for vitamin d. I'm a lot more tired this time round as I was not quite 30 when I had my first DS. Rest when you can is the best advice I can offer you and when baby sleep you need to sleep

38 yo, 30weeks with #1 currently. Have not been taking extra vitamins, but have been on blood thinners due to an auto immune condition

I'm 43 and had DS3 6.5 weeks ago. I was on elevit and nothing else throughout pregnancy. Speak to your GP/ob if your concerned they'll make sure your taking any additional medication you might need.

    Congratulations!
