I adore perfume! I change mine up with the seasons.
In winter I love Armani fragrances. They're deeper and seem to last through a sleep and a shower! In spring / summer I like something lighter. My picks are:

    Issey miyake - l'eau d'issey
Ralph Lauren - Ralph Eau de toilette
Hugo Boss Woman - it was my wedding perfume
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre - this is my every day
Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb - everyone comments on this but use sparingly!
Lancôme - La Vie Est Belle

The last two can be pretty strong. But I love them!

    I haven't, though I've tried the original Happy (which I don't mind). I'll give it a try

    I love this.

I also love Miu Miu The First Fragrance.
I wouldn't have a clue whether or not it is summery, floral or whatever. There aren't very many perfumes I do like, and most make me sneeze, but I find I can wear this all day and still like it after a few hours.

I love cool water. Don't care if it's not "in". That fragrance is a classic both for men and women.

Comments like these remind me that we are of the same vintage.

Did you use Waterberry body spray per chance?

Ralph by Ralph Lauren (blue bottle) is summery - quite sweet but lasts hours!

Last summer I started wearing Daisy by Marc Jacobs - very pleasant and I get compliments from it.

I also like Be Delicious by DKNY

I just read you original post - if you like floral: definitely try Daisy by Marc Jacobs or Pleasures (or Pleasures Exotic) by Estée Lauder.

I recommend you going to a perfume shop, trying a couple on your skin, go for a walk and if you still like the fragrance you'll know it's right for you
