I think Dr Linda tends not to be open to what u want unless she thinks it's absolutely necessary. Maybe that's not such a bad thing?
@Giraffez - LB is well known as a celebrity specialist, but it's for a reason....she is good! She tries things other specialists don't and takes on the tough cases. That said, she is expensive (because she can be), and hard to get into. Her appointments are quick and I would say she doesn't have a great bedside manner (if you are looking for someone who is warm and fuzzy, she is not your lady!), but she really knows her stuff.
That said, if you are just starting out with IVF, then I think Primary is great.....if you are having no success with them and feel they aren't flexible enough, then it's time to look at someone like LB who will 'think outside the box'......but it is going to cost big $$$$. We only started with her as Primary wasn't in Melbourne then and she was the first FS that was recommended (and it was before she got Sonia Kreuger pregnant so she wasn't as hard to get into!)

I think she's nice not warm and fussy nice. Agreed her appointment is very short and long time in waiting room.
But u know I had endo scratch with her twice and the second time she offered to give me discount. But we didn't end up with just an endo scratch on second round I needed to have my cervix dialated as well and my insurance wasn't really covering for it so she offered to do it in her office instead of me going through hospital and pay for anethetic etc and charge me less than an endo scratch. Or if u wanted to go through hospital she would not charge me the gap or something. But my medicare rebate pretty much cover the whole appointment/procedure anyway it ended up costing me $25 or something for the whole process done in her office.

It would be interesting what she said this round though with the chemical from fresh transfer from a stim cycle with her.

The $400 initial first appointment is definitely expensive but I think u get heaps back from medicare if u hit your safety net within the year.

@Cooki @Cassidy I'm with LB too - I'm going for my third stim cycle this month. Got my DD in 2013 after 3 rounds of clomid, but I turned 40 in Jan and it's been nothing but bfn's and a chem (natural). I agree - so expensive - she is good - i think I have a case of crappy egg quality so, I'm turning to egg donor in Greece in May if this last stim cycle doesn't work. I also have a frozen but not PGDed embies too. Primary IVF interests me - as my situation is a numbers game. Not snuff great eggs, but I I did more and more rounds something might happen. I just don't have the funds or time to find out . . . Am going to follow this thread!

Hey has anyone changed FS's in Melbourne or Sydney? I'm thinking of changing with Melba and they said u need to have a conversation with current FS first.

I find it hard to assert myself with her and heard the other FS is more open to suggestion.
