    @gorgeousgeorge Maybe your rash was a nervous body freaking out reaction! I have a sore throat too. I do when I'm in the early stages of pregnancy. Just saying!! Stick, little embryos, stick! I bet your news was a shock for both you and DH. Fingers crossed there's no plan z required. I love how both caring and practical your FS is. A perfect mix for someone responsible for getting you pregnant. Enjoy your final day/s in the sun and think beautifully nurturing thoughts.

    @Rhino I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. I hope that if you've POAS again you're looking at a another lovely second line! Are you going for your blood test on Monday too?

    @BlondeinBrisvegas A pathology type of question. You know how POAS results can fluctuate depending on what time of the day you do them. Does it work the same way with blood? Or are hcg levels in your blood more consistent no matter what time of the day you do a blood test?

    They are consitent Luv but there can sometimes be slight lab variances if you go to different places to have you BT's done so try to go to the same place for your blood draws if possible so your sample ends up at the same lab

    @tuxcat yay for pupo!

    I need some good news because...

    Afm... well im also pupo because i had my transfer this morning... because we only had 2 decent embys left on day 3... because it seems that dh's sperm is no good... my worst nightmare that this round of ivf would be a very expensive diagnostic procedure has come true. So my donor was 26 and proven. She gave 14 eggs, 9 mature, 7 fertilised, but by day 3 there were only 4 embryos, 2 of which had 8 cells and the rest were totally fragmented!!! When they said i was going in for transfer, i panicked a bit because i didnt understand why! But dr.n explained all the above and i then went into a bit of shock, i.e. i felt numb with disbelief. He was surprised noone us australia had suggested dhs sperm might be an issue too. But it always looked good in samples and he has a daughter fron a previous relationship but i guess it helps explain why we never got any good embies. So we transferred the 2 eight cell day 3 embies. But im not very hopeful if the sperm isnt good. And then while i was lying down i started sobbing uncontrollably. When dr.n came to check on me he was so lovely. He whisked us into his office and we made a plan z. Dh is leaving a frozen sample on monday. Dr.n is going to use the same egg donor and do a split cycle using dh sperm and donor sperm. He was very good in explaining this cycle wasnt a waste because the only way to know dh also has a problem was to use known good young eggs. And i think he is right. Im glad i didnt put in the time and effort finding my own donor using the aussie process too now so thats a blessing in disguise. He also said if this cycle works, "you'll forget everything we just talked about" which us also true although i worry about miscarriage now. But anyway, he will make us a batch of embies using donor eggs with dh sperm and donor sperm and see how they go. So today was pretty confronting. I also had a moment where i wondered if my own eggs actually are ok but im not going to bother trying an oe and donor sperm cycle coz i movedvpast caring about my own eggs ages ago. Im a bit sad that now probably our child would have no generic link to either parents but just remind myself, i just want to be a mum. I feel really sorry for dh coz i know how its feels to be told your bits are no good and he is upset about all the money spent in australia when they said his sperm was ok. But he's been looking after me the last 2 years and now I'll get the chance to return that care. So, i will be amazed if this cycle works and will be busy in the tww working out money stuff to fund the plan z. And now we're going for a swim in the rooftop pool to wash away todays craziness. xox

    Firstly....Congrat's on being PUPO Luv!!!!

    and prayers being sent you've got a super sticky one (or 2!!) aboard!!!

    Secondly.....I can only imagine how devastated you would've been to hear that about DH's sperm I'm so sorry Luv...to be blindsided like that would've been a terrible shock and a huge blow for you both!!!

    Unfortunately, the sperm quality is just like the egg/embryo quality thing....it can all look good under the microscope.......you know the rest Luv. The only way to know is to have the sperm tested if possible (which isn't always if for eg, you've had it TESA'd out), but what's done is done this Cycle so you must try to look ahead with hope in your heart knowing you've got the best 2 baking away in your oven!!!!

    FWIW Luv...When Wazza transferred my 3 embryo's on my last Cycle, they were only 5, 6 and 7 cells when transferred and were only Graded average quality with my sh!ttty old 40+ year old eggs and the Ex's TESA'd sperm....so you, my darling, are well and truly in the game!!!!! It's more than possible that at least one of your embryo's can and will stick!!!!! Don't go giving up before the game is even done!!! You've just gone into the second half now!!!!

    I'll be going on a prayer vigil for you to the Universe from here on in Luvxoxoxoxoxo

    P.S.....I thinks it's fan-frucking-tastic your FS in Greece has thought ahead and is organising that freeze all Cycle with the split fertilisation too just in case (you might want to go back for siblings at a later date).

    Ta @BlondeinBrisvegas. Cool, my new gp's has a Melb Path in it that I've just started using. Apparently they're 'the same' as Sullivan Nicolaides in Qld which as you know is who Warren's referral slips come from.
    Obviously I was just wondering whether I'd get a lower hcg reading if I went for my bloods in the morning compared to later in the day! Not that I'd want an inflated figure, just not a soul destroying "sorry its too low to confirm a pregnancy at this stage" kind of figure.
    (Presuming that second line sticks around of course!! )
