@Tahli holy shizzle! I just kept reading through, i had a moment like id woken from a coma thinking, "how long have i been asleep? What year is it?" Congrats on the hgc numbers! So is that confirmed by drs? Iscthis definitely happening? Omg! But im sorry you are feeling unwell too. It seems like you're being proactive and wazza will give you good advice etc xox
@tuxcat im soz your donor is unwell but dont blame yourself, the drs clearly explain the risks etc... and donors willingly participate but i know that doesnt make it better, but its definately not your fault or respinsibilty and its been picked up so she will be ok xox
@Gen72 that must be very very scary. Im so sorry this has happened. Im praying to the universe bubba hangs tight, every hour and day will make a difference, so in a way, the longer you suffer in limbo- the better things are for bubba (i dont know if thinking that way helps, i feel pretty useless other than to say i think i would be scared to, and there is nothing you can do, which also makes it hard). I also know 26 weeker premies- who are at high school- and i wouldnt have known the difference except that they tell me about it (they always seem bloody proud of it to be honest- oh the ignorance of youth) Anyway, you are in my thoughts xox

@infinity888, I am so thrilled you are looking to continue your journey. Best news I've heard in ages, along with @Tahli's BFP

Our new clinic is on the GC. We hope to be up that way some time next week, all being well

Thanks hun yes I've checked the other thread. My MTHFR wasn't picked up in earlier testing done in Australia 3 years ago but has been picked up via testing in the US. I'm trying to get clarity from my Australian and American FS regarding the differences as both the reports state I was tested for the same gene mutations but got different results (so confusing).
PS: love the nickname of the gene

    .
Yes @ange1111 I asked about MTHFR supplements. I'll continue to take Megafol 5mg for now until my FS says otherwise at my next appointment. Thanks for sharing the link.. there is so much to learn!

Default IVF Over 40's #40 Temp

@Rhino wow I bet. A squinter is more exciting than a dark line. Its the moment you first see hope in real life. I hope I don't offend anyone here, (pretty sure I will), but for ME, you girls going overseas have so much more pressure than me and my little old homebrand cycle. I take my Sydney Swans hat off to you all. Mates, @Rhino @gorgeousgeorge your pressure has to be amplified. Thingking of you both. We shouldn't brush aside the importance of seeing that 2nd line. I dreamt (for 6yrs) of the 2nd line and when it came in July and I didn't react as expected. I did a half ar5ed fist pump, sent a pic to a cycle buddy and waited a day to tell DH.

So @Rhino and @Tahli enjoy the moments as they are huge for this thread. We aren't a monthly clan, we don't see daily or even monthly bfp's. Im so proud of you all for what you have sacrificed and been through to get here xx

@goegeousgeorge do I have to lie down to appreciate this pic? I have been thinking of you. Enjoy the time away from work and home. Cant wait to hear from you either way xx

Alot of this thread are very much invested in each others cycles and care very much about women we have never met. For those on here for quite a while, its special to see our mates dreams come true..

@Rhino thats fantastic!!! I am so happy for you! xox
@Billie2 thats so funny that you said you feel its worse for us, because today i was thinking the opposite! Like, im on an overseas holiday, and once i realised i was a poor responder/low reserve/poor egg quality lady, i thought id never have to money to spend on holidays ever again coz it would all go on ivf until i hit menopause. So im here thinking of all the national ivfers, feeling terrible that ive skipped all the supplements n drugs n 'knowing' that its more likely to fail than work stresses etc... I guess financially its the same as a donor cycle is australia and then cost of flights and spending $, so no need to feel sorry for me. I feel pretty confident that even if it doesnt work this go, I'll come back over the next year or two and it'll happen :-) I reckon ive got it easy :-) So strange how life can do a 180 on you, that's why you just gotta hang in there, i reckon xox

P.s. a fruend on the greece donor thread posted yesterday her 2 embies transferred both took and 1 spilt in 2. i.e. triplets! Its freaked me out a bit. Now im worrying about too many babies more than none. Go figure???
Anyways yeah, im actually doing strangely well. I think ive actually accepted i have no control and so im just like, whatevs life, you throw **** at me, i deal with it. The only thing im apprehensive about is if I'll fall to pieces again like last time ivf failed me. But i dont know what will happen, so if I do lose my shizzle, I'll just go yo bed and cry again for 2 weeks or however long it takes. Then I'll get up again, ring supercare, book flights, go to greece, repeat as necessary :-) And if im 51 ywars old and not a mum, then I'll hang in there and deal with that too :-) That's a long way off though thankfully :-) xox
