So exciting @Rhino! I hope your embies are burrowing in deep and making a happy little home in there for you
So I'll try and keep this brief - you know that is impossible when I get typing
Anyway, I had an appointment with Wazza today after a year's break & it was actually very, very good. I was with him for an hour and he actually took my potential progesterone allergy (Autoimmune Progesterone Dermatitis) quite seriously. He said I gave him goosebumps, he's excited about something new to look into, and already thought of a couple of ladies who may also have something similar who have slipped through the cracks - so I got him thinking which is a good thing!
He immediately got on the phone and spoke to his daughter who is a skin specialist and organised for her to make up test kits for several types / brands of progesterone so that I can do skin allergy testing in a couple of weeks to see if I react. That will happen a few days prior to my appointment with Dr M, so hopefully I'll have some information from that to share with him. Wazza is very happy to collaborate with Dr M about my case - even if it's not anything to do with progesterone - there is likely something immune going on so he's happy to work together with Dr M on that.
The best thing is that he didn't ridicule me or completely dismiss out of hand my theory and line of thinking - after I laid it all on the table he agreed that it had to be considered as there seems to be more than coincidence in my symptoms, miscarriages and chems and the use of progesterone.
From reading back through all my scans he said he is very doubtful that silent endo is present, everything looks really good and he would even say that a hysteroscopy is not really necessary, but in the interests of crossing everything off the list and also doing the biopsy and scratch and flush we will go ahead with that whenever I'm ready.
So all in all it was positive and I feel like I'm moving forward.
On another note I emailed Known Donors and said yes to a December cycle!
The only thing is my first and second choices of donors are no longer available and I'm not all that happy with the others that have been sent through so I'm not quite sure what to do there yet. I am planning a PGD freeze all and then do a natural cycle and transfer in January. The hilarious thing is that I have no money right now to pay for it - so what I'm going to do is sit down over the next few days and figure out a way to create $30K within a couple of weeks - kind of the "bite off more than you can chew and chew like crazy" attitude!!!
I think DH will be happy to put in a third. I have to do my business tax return and I'm sure I'll be due several thousand back in GST. I am busting myself to create some income in my business over the next few weeks, I'll be going through Supercare to see if I can release some super, and I'm going to look at what I have free on credit cards, and also what I can sell.... So come hell or high water I'm going to make this thing happen!!! I just need a donor I'm happy with. Oh, and $30K....
DH and I are getting there. I think we'll be OK. He's just a man who really doesn't think at times and doesn't know how to nurture a good marriage. So he has to step up and he says he's willing to, so we'll see what happens.
Told you it would be long - and this is my brief version!!!!!!

Summer. What a wonderful man! I'm looking forward to hearing more about what you find out and have everything crossed that you find that money. Buy a powerball ticket for Thursday!!! Xo
@Blossom74 oh no that is so stressful about the flooding. Can you go stay somewhere where you will be able to get out to travel? Thats biblical stuff to send a flood during your cycle! Next statue i see of poseidon, i will pray that he reduces the floodwaters mate. xox
@Tahli i dont know about follicles yet. Yesterday dr n said there are 2 donors, he told me stuff about eye colour etc... but i was like, dont care about that, how OLD are they. Both proven, one is 30 and one is 27, so yeah, que sera sera, i reckon. Ive kinda stopped making 'hopes' up. I'll be happy to get something to transfer, thats my goal now so anything else is a bonus.
And omg, there is a little shop in the plaka area where we are staying that sells sandals. And... they have little children's leather sandals with wings on the side like the greek god hermes wears. They are sooo cute and i looked at dh and he said, 'wait till we get some babies first" but i was like "if we get a baby, then we wont be coming back and for the rest of our lives, I'll be like we shouldve bought those frucking sandals!" He agreed that would be true and he didnt want that. So, i figured first oe cycle i bought something coz i was so hopeful, so im gonna get a pair just to commemorate my first de cycle too. Might get a pair for myself aswell. :-) Seriously, they are the cutest things ive ever seen.
@gorgeousgeorge Good on you - I would've bought those shoes too!
@Blossom74 that is a stress you so don't need right now - can you avoid the rainy roads and stay a bit closer? Hoping those rain clouds blow away for you. @Summer - December!! That's massively exciting and as far as drumming up the 30k, where there's a will there's a way!!
Good night to everyone else, I'm off to bed xxx
@Blossom74 I hope the water levels stop rising. is it worth going earlier and staying in a hotel. I guess then you might be worried about your house, or is it on high ground?
@Summer sounds like a productive meeting today. best of luck with it. & good luck with the known donors program too - I hope you can find someone you like
