Hi ladies, the rain hasn't come yet. We are next in line after Adelaide to catch the big storm. They reckon it'll hit late this evening and into tomorrow. 40-50mm predicted for tonight, 20+mm tomorrow. If that's the case we may well need to evacuate. Our town is so flat, the river is at the back of our house, so flooding is a distinct possibility. Not only that, the 2 ways out could well get flooded, so I am packing bags tonight just in case the SES come and ask us to leave. If that happens we'll pack up everyone and go through to my old home town while we can, we'll be safe there. The cats would have to go into the cattery which breaks my heart but I can't leave them behind. This whole thing is really upsetting me. I had taken 2 weeks off work to enjoy the lead up to our cycle and now I;m wondering what I need and what to leave behind. I hope the rain just buggers off somewhere else

Nope. Basically sitting on the riverbank hon. If the levy doesn't hold the whole town will go under. It's flat as anything out here - nowhere for the water to go.

    Bloody Hell Luv!!!

the rain does end up pi$$ing off elsewhere, but if not good to see you're ready to get the hell out if needs be!!!

It'll suck having to put the furbabies in the cattery Luv, but at least you know they'll be safe, warm and dry there

Good Luck Luv, will be thinking of you and sending "Pi$$ Off Elswhere" vibes to the rain!!!!
