Hi, i caved and poas this arvo, bfn as expected, it 12 dpo today but im not even crying. I got that nervous aporehension watching the pee travel up the stick but it was what i am expecting due to the sperm issues and dr n wasnt hopeful. Im keen for bt on friday to confirm bfn, ring supercate, stop meds, get aunty flo, make good donor blasties, get on plane, transfer 2- have no concerns about doing det anymore... then the real awful 2ww will begin. Im not even thinking about anything else going wrong coz i refuse to. So yeah, im coping but by making new and improved plans. Im trying to tell myself if i do a whole nother donor emby cycle, transfer all the embies from that cycle and no bfp... then I'll losse my shiz mostly coz I'll bs scared its never going to happen :-)

Default IVF Over 40's #40 Temp

Very big congrats @Blossom74 on a beautiful number. Good luck in 2 days!!

    Thinking of you @tuxcat xx
@gorgeousgeorge Ive been thinking of you too and wanted to let you be while you go through this awful wait. I know you like space. Its not the end mate. Not by a long shot. We had sperm issues too, so if I still have hope, you have to keep yours too. My DS had to have his sperm checked again prior to our last cycle just to make sure he had enough for ICSI. I will pick you up if you fall. You're not alone. Not on my watch xx

Not exactly, lol. He only wanted one bubba. But I reckon two is so very close to 1, and everything's negotiable lol....

@Blossom74 and @Billie2 you ladies rock. I think this time I'll have to support dh coz its kinda probably his last chance to have 'his own' child, which was unexpected. Poor thing. I know how the last 'own' genetic material cycle feels. Thanks for your kind thoughts and support xox

Oh fruck it @gorgeousgeorge. It sounds like your survival mode is to swing into practical mode. I'd be doing exactly the same thing. We're all here for you while you support DH. Like you said, it sounds like he'll have grieving his own fertility. Bless him. Do you have a blood test form yet? Massive, massive hugs .

Nope going to get that on wed coz there's a good dr who comes to town then and he used to treat my dad before he passed away, so im gonna try the 'who you know' thing to see if he will help. And my mum us the receptionist at that surgery, which is good in that he might help and vad because i just know she bloody reads my file! So im gonna have to ask for the form, ask him to not write anything in my file and ask for results to be sent to his normal surgery. Bloody frucking small town shenanigans. If not, I'll email nurse at old fs clinic who will do it but everytime i think of calling, i see myself saying "yoh know it would have been nice if youse had suggested the possibilty of dh having issues" and thats unfair coz he has a daughter and last 3 cycles, i never had enough embies to go past day 3 anyway to check for drop off. Poor dr. N was pretty floored himself. He said i am the youngest woman who still ovulates normally to come over to athens for donor ivf! So blah blah... another novel. Im just sick of waiting! I want a baby! :-) (lol, im looking forward to taking a week off work too, coz ive never done that in my whole 14 years of working life! Its a bit woosy to take leave when you get 2 weeks off every term and 6 weeks at chrissy) We have a thing called 'Family And Community leave', its 5 days a year so you can go see your kuds awards nights, concerts, visit sick aged relatives, funerals etc... Do embryos count as family? Im thinking yes! Its time i took some FAC'S leave. It doesn't roll over and ive never utilised it before.
