Yeah I'd get a second opinion. Your Dr was making subjective judgements and why would he suggest that you go on the pill again knowing you are TTC?? I'd find a good GP and then get a referral for a FS who will advise your best course of action. Good luck!

    It's sooo frustrating
Ask your fs if you could try Letrozole. I didn't have luck with clomid, but I am on Letrozole this round and although I haven't had my CD21 blood test, I am 99% sure I ovulated on it. And none of the side effects I had on clomid either.

Thanks missmac86, fs has set up all for injections this month but will ask next time I'm there about letrozole
Glad to be moving on from clomid - the hot flushes are driving me mental 5-6 per day

I went to the GP and because I didn't ovulate he tried to tell me I should go back on the pill because I quote "you are not going to get pregnant with your partners sperm in the next 2 months anyway so you might as well go back on the pill"

I told him that's not happening so I got prescribed metformin instead.

Am I overreacting by thinking the doctor was being a ****. The DF's sperm motility was lower than it needed to be but it's certainly not impossible and that is not what the same doctor told him when he got the results. He told us then that it was a little low but there's things to improve it and it would be fine.

Thinking about getting a different doctor, sorry for the vent.
Your poor thing!! Metformin does nothing to help you ovulate (unless weight is an issue). I'd be going to another doctor and depending how long you've been ttc for get a referral to a fs.
My partner had low motility too, our gp flagged it but our FS called bull**** and said it was fine (just on the low side of average but with the amount of sperm he produces it shouldn't be an issue).
Nothing against gp's, but they are not specialists.. Having been on this road for a while now, I can honestly say nothing is better than a good fs.

I remember those well lol, and feeling like I was crazy!! I can't recommend Letrozole enough. None of the issues that came with clomid. I was actually scared it wasn't working but then I had a mature follie at my scan, and sure enough the next day I had O pains!
Now I'm just trying not to read to much into some possible signs lol
    Good luck with the injections!

4dpo and was having period-like cramps all morning. Enough that I thought AF was arriving, albeit 10 days early. So I'm just going to assume implantation until AF shows and proves otherwise hahaha.

For those using Ovia, what is "School glue" supposed to mean? It seems like there could possibly be a few more options. That is, (Tmi) what would you classify it as, if it's wet but tacky and completely clear. Does that seem like "school glue" to you? Or is it supposed to mean more like Clay glue, white and gluggy?

I was going to ask the same thing! For me, unless it is ewcm or wet I'm using the "school glue" option. Mine has gone to clag-like (the joys of tmi!) and I'm using the school glue option.
