The owner is coming around tomorrow to see if he can block it off. The builders have been reported for unsafe work practices. I'm so going to be the one putting up with nuisance builders aren't I?

Default What are our rights as tenants?

Considering everything that is happening in SA with safe work SA (an apprentice carpenter was killed on site last month when a wall frame collapsed on him). You could ring your equivalent and report anything to them. Hi vis, Steel caps, sunnies, hard hats all have to be worn and white cards (legit ones not online ones, at height cards if required). A lot of sites are getting shut down here. My DP is a builder he has been fine but knows of others that have been shut down. Oh and every worker needs to be inducted to the site and they have to sign off on it and the supervisor needs to clear the site each day for safe work

The owner just organised for the builder next door to come close the gap on our side of the fence... I had to remind him the he's reported this builder to the council AND he's made a threat to my husband to make our lives difficult... No, he will not be coming into our yard!

Make sure you write and dictate everything down and if the builder wants a war call safe work
