Hi ladies. I have a question about the prednisone. Dr M has prescribed 15mg a day 2.5wks before my FET (which starts today - CD1) am I supposed to take 3x 5mg in one go or spread it over the day? Thanks in advance

@Mink i was on 10mg so did 5 morning and night

It can cause insomnia... so i would either take 3 doses or 10mg in morning and 5mg afternoon (i would take it at 5pm)

Thanks @Velvet16 well I'm also taking panadeine forte for my period pain, so maybe the prednisone will balance out the drowsiness from the panadeine

I took my prednisone all at once in the morning but what Velvet16 said would also be good. The insomnia sucks.

Dr M advised when I took pred last year to take 2 in am and 1 early afternoon around lunch. Same advice this time only on 3x Dex. Mind you here I am at 2:51 am awake. But also getting nervous cause heading overseas Monday for treatment and heading to Sydney today for intralipids, so lots on my mind.

I was taking 25mg which was just 1 tablet, so obviously taken in 1 hit in the morning. Now I am on 20mg which is 4 smaller ones and I just take them all together. I am pretty lucky I don't get the insomnia anymore but i did to start with.
    Good luck.

    Correct

Doctor m asked me take it broken up to twice a day.

But as you can see im not sure it matters as others have done the opposite and been also successful

Thanks ladies! I took 3 last night plus the panadeine so I slept ok. I'll be taking it in the morning from now on. Hopefully that'll keep me awake during work at least

Good luck @Debant with the travels and the treatment. I always get anxious too when travelling and even more so just before going in for surgery etc. all the best x
