Default implantation spotting and irregular periods

Hi everyone. My husband and I are trying for our first baby but its very hard considering i have very irregular periods-about once every 6 months. (Due to see a specialist tomorrow about this as I have been tested for Polycystic ovaries and endometriois and both dont have either) the last few days my breasts have felt wierd - bigger which is something ive never felt before and then yesterday i noticed brown blood on my undies. I thought for sure i was getting my period but nothing since! My last period was about 5 months ago.. Any thoughts from anyone if this could be implantation bleeding and when I should take a test? I dont want to get my hopes up hopiny for the best?! Thanks guys ☺

Sounds quite similar to the implantation bleeding I had. I had it on and off for 3 days before I tested and got a very strong positive. Maybe try testing tomorrow and see how you go? Fx for your bfp!

@mac90 how did they test for PCOS? Do you mean they only said there are no cysts on your ovaries or have they done all the blood tests to check your androgen levels, AMH etc? I have PCOS but no cysts.

I would also get your thyroid tested too.

How long have you been trying for?

It's hard to tell if it's implantation bleeding or not, sometimes our bodies just do weird things! I had a few times where I had 2 days of brown spotting, then nothing too. So frustrating.

Thanks for yout response! Ihad both blood tests and scans. My GP told me no i didnt have it everything is fine but i went to a gyno on monday who looked at my results and scans and said i definitely do. Going to hospital on 20th sept to get the cysts removed. At least i have answers for the lack of AF. Just my body doing wierd things i thought for sure i was pregnant but only been trying 6 months so im being postive this op will help!!

So glad the gyno was on to it! I had a couple of Dr's tell me I didn't have it because I didn't have the cysts, but luckily once we started seeing our FS he recognized I had the syndrome minus the cysts. He put me on a high dose of Metformin and things improved a lot. (We did end up going through IVF in the end but the reasoning behind why we couldn't fall pregnant wasn't to do with my PCOS

    Good luck!

Hi cupoftea16. I hear you! Took me 9 years until someone took me serious. All they ever did was throw pregnany tests at me and send me on my way! And i knew very well it was not that. Good luck to you!
