@Rhino good luck for Tuesday. Greek time would stress me out to so thanks for the heads up.
Quick qn ladies i had a d+c on tuesday with minimal bleeding or pain afterwards. Yesterday i had cramps on both sides that were a bit sore so took panadol and have darker bleeding today. Is this normal or so i need to get checked out? I dont have a temp, vomiting or other symptoms to indicate an infection?
Billie2 lol, i had i a ron burgundy/ anchorman moment with the roll call thang, "well, that escalated quickly". I do also like seeing the graduate/babies due list coz otherwise id think it never worked for anybody and that thought is depressing. Its nice though, that we can all express how we feel and feel differently and still behave in a civilised manner. :-)
If you're feeling ok in general (no high temp, pain that can easily be sorted with panadol etc) you should be ok hon. I was told when I had mine that bleeding is ok as long as it's not flooding a pad every hour. Heavier than that definitely get it checked out.
I also noticed with mine that immediately upon having it done blood loss was minimal but it came on heavier after a few days, then sort of did this stop-start-stop-start thing for nearly 3 weeks. Every time I thought it was gone - voila, it was back. My GP said this too is normal but not to have intercourse at all while you are bleeding, as everything is still slightly 'open' and infection could be introduced.
If you are worried at any stage though hon - head off to your GP or the ED if it's after hours
ETA: Re: Pain relief...I was on panadol for almost a week. For me the cramping and backache seemed worse a few days afterwards, so I wasn't afraid to take pills if I needed them. Also, I had one episode of incontinence after the D&C - I reckon it was maybe 3 days afterwards? The GP said it was due to all the internal trauma of the surgery and this too was normal. I'm pleased to report that resolved itself quite quickly.

@midnite01 - as long as you have no high temp and copious amounts of bleeding then I think you are ok and don't need to see a Dr. Mine was two years ago and can remember the bleeding trickled on for a few weeks which was really annoying. AF came back about 5 weeks post d an c. Another thing - the anaesthetic stopped my bowels working and about 4 days post d and c I had to drink that horrible drink you take before a colonoscopy as I was in so much pain with terrible bloating. so drink plenty of water.
@midnite01 I was the same after both my D&Cs and same as @Blossom74 it lasted about 3 weeks. I'd think it was over then I'd go and exercise and it would be back. My cramping stopped after the first week though.
The first time I went straight back to work and straight back to the gym, which was me in denial I think... The second time I had a couple of days off and had 2 days of eating and drinking whatever I wanted; I reckon it's important to do some nice things for yourself, although I would not recommend mixing blue cheese, champagne and sausage rolls in the one sitting!
