I thought that lucrin down regs you and orgultran prevents you from ovulating. I havent used lucrin though.

I believe that at certain doses they'll both hold off ovulation, but also know that I used Lucrin to trigger for one cycle, so at a higher dose it tells your body to ovulate. Synarel can be used for both purposes too. I'm not sure if Orgalutran can be used as a trigger.

@tuxcat hey :-) we fly out on the 25th, so just under 2 weeks. Not long to go, im working every night now for 2 or 3 hours to get all the marking n planning for next term done, which i would normally do in school "holidays" (Massive inverted commas there!). It sux. Thanks for thinking of me.
How are you doing? Was wondering, can any of the fs clinics in sa help to sorta 'assess' a donor for you? Like is a fs involved at all in the donor selection stuff or might thry be willing to communicate with the agencies for you? I have been thinking about you lots this past week and anything i could think of to help in someway but i dont know much about the s.a. option. xox

Yes, just feeling incredibly sad for my online friend. It's just not fair.

Think you're confusing me with someone else? I've got a local donor so doing our cycle out of GENEA Canberra. Im good, scared sh!tless of what will happen but good cautiously optimistic I guess. DH and I were saying that we feel like whatever happens it's a long way from where we've been so that's hopeful. But our donor has never donated before so its that first IVF cycle nerves as to how she will respond. One day at a time I guess. I have lots of teacher friends so I get what you're saying with the extra work that people seem to forget about. Bring on the 25th hey!

@winsor oh no, I'm so sorry. I had a bit of a bumpy ride trying to find a local donor so I know how badly it can hurt. I feel totally deflated for you.
