@Grace1 I only had the ubiquinone, but I read that it can be as effective as the other in a higher dose. I took 600 a day 2x150 in the morning, and 2x150 at night. I took with fish oil for better absorption. I also started propolis, royal jelly, ala, inositol and L arganine and cartine for the last cycle too, in addition to what I was already taking.

    Default IVF over 40#39

@Grace1 I took bioceuticals ubiquinol 150. Very pricey though. There were 30 capsules and I found a chemist near me that sold them to me for $60. Slade in Richmond sell the same bottle for $85.

Hallo everyone, I can't believe there is only 2 pages to get through today, I thought I was in the wrong place.

Looks like we have September starters up and running good luck everyone, hopefully it will be showering with BFPs soon.
@Grace1 the best place to get good quality ubiquinol for a good price is the iherb website. I too was using the bioceuticals brand very expensive and my herbal place usually only stocked the small bottle of 30 and I went through the pretty quickly. Iherb also have higher concentrations for 1tab as bioceuticals is 150mg and the recommendation for egg quality is 300mg + daily. I believe some FS say 600mg is optimal.

Thankyou @Green lady, the Fs said to get CoQ10 so I've been taking 300mg of ubiquinone. (Didn't mention any particular type).I've just been doing some internet research on things to improve egg quality and the ubiquinonol seems to be much better as you have explained. I Will definitely have a look at the health food store as my chemist only stocks the ubiquinone . Thanks again x

Thanks for sharing your protocols. I tried Gonal f and Luveris this time plus Neupogen for immune issues/egg quality.

I hope you don't lose too much weight with it. Have your tried hospital-grade sustegan with an egg blitzed through for extra protein? I found the stim drugs really knocked my appetite, so I took sustegan and ate a lot of fish while stimming. I needed to lose weight, but not while stimming. You probably have strategies you use though to maintain/add weight?

Sorry you didn't get a higher fert rate. FWIW Wazza always mixed the stim drugs, so Gonal-F and Luveris or Lucrin, Menopur, and Puregon. He also didn't see the point in just repeating what we'd done. Our BFP was from two PGD embies from different cycles, but I suspect it was the Lucrin, Menopur, and Puregon mix that was the successful embie. Also have they tried PICSI/HA-ICSI? We used it from the 4th cycle onwards and it increased our fert rate from 20% to 60% and also increased the number of day 5s. Apparently if embies fall over day 3-5 that is just as likely a sperm as egg issue. Without PICSI we were lucky to get a day 5, but with it got 2 or even 3 per cycle (although only 1-2 were ever good enough to PGD).

Thinking of you and hoping your embies grow like the wind.
Thanks luv. I didn't think about sustagen and that's a great idea, I'll buy it for sure. No unfortunately I didn't have any strategies for adding nutrients, I don't have a big aperitif normally so while on Metformin I was pretty hopeless. I used to gag on most of the foods so it was very difficult. Plus I felt so tired and lazy that didn't want to make myself anything to eat. Thanks for sharing Wazzas protocol and your experiences. I will ask my FS what he plans to use next time as clearly my current protocol is not working. I had HA-ICSI this time as that's what they do for PGD. My protocol comprised Gonal f, Luveris and Neupogen (for immune issues/egg quality) and of course Orgalutran.

Thankyou @Charlie74., I'm thinking about doing the same dose as you after my research - I need all the help I can get! (although I wasn't sure if it'd be too much if the ubiquinol is stronger)? did you decide your own dose? thanks

Hi ladies, just want to check if any of you experienced a weak bladder after egg collection? I'm suffering from urgency incontinence as I have to rush to the toilet even if there's not much in my bladder (tmi) thankfully I haven't had any leaks but it seems like a possibility. I have naturally lowered my water intake which is not good. not sure if EPU has weakened muscles there for some reason? I hope I don't have an infection!
