We have used Supercare to organise paperwork for us for our last round of IVF here and are currently in process of using them to pay for our costs using overseas donor.
We asked ourselves the same question - it's a hefty price ( don't forget about 20% tax on your superannuation and psychologist fee as well ) and both of us are pretty switched on when it comes to paperwork, but in all honesty, we both agree that it was the right decision to pay the fee to ensure its done right.
The psychologist they refer you to knows exactly what's required on the forms and they have sent us templates to follow for letters from our FS and overseas clinic to ensure all boxes are ticked for DHS.
Hopefully you'll only need to do it once, but, God forbid you need it again, you could probably go it solo the second time.
We decided to use them again due to the complications of our request but IVF here is pretty straightforward.
Good luck! Crappy business all this hey. X
