Happy birthday for tomorrow! @BlondeinBrisvegas I hope you have a nice day. Great news about finally getting an appointment for DD. That honeycomb looks amazing too. Enjoy every bit, yum!

ive been feeling so crappy today, think I crawled out of that swamp you did yesterday @Tahli..I've skimmed over today's posts as my head felt so heavy so sorry I've probably missed quite a bit! Not sure if it's the hormones going from synarel to estrogen, I honestly don't know how you girls do so many different drugs and still function!!

Tahli I think you need the Ben wa balls to chime over the top of the crinkle crinkles
@Charlie74 interesting article, any new research info that's out there is good as it helps people to be more informed, I think the risks are there and should be considered.

I have pretty much slept all day and feeling very sick, super nauseous! I'm sure it's either the horrendous Metformin or the injections. Can't wait for this cycle to be over and I don't think I can do this anymore. I was going very positive and strong so far and suddenly feel like I've been hit by a bus.
All of you are super supportive and helpful, wish I'd found this forum earlier. Hoping for a smooth Egg collection tomorrow

That's good you've got an appointment with your GP tomorrow and Monash for Monday Luv

Am glad you've managed to get some sleep and some rest too as that can't hurt either.

I think the Metformin is probably making you ill as I know it made our @Tahli pretty sick too

Good luck with EPU in the morning

I really envy all the close mother/daughter relationships that are like best friends. It's hard when you've come from such a dysfunctional family life growing up to wanting to create your own closeknit family and special bonds, righting all the wrongs of the past and not being able to due to infertility.
Thanks @jazzabelle - it's actually going better than I expected, but my anxiety is pretty out of control & I've been eyeing off the Xanax that is supposed to be for when I fly only

My Mum means well but is very self absorbed & quite manipulative - I think undiagnosed bipolar but because she is perfect & everyone else is wrong - she's never been to see anyone so there's no diagnosis.

I don't share anything that is too personal with her as she will often twist it around & use it against me later When she's not having a drama she's fine & we get on pretty well. I just have memories of her reading my diary as a young teenager & shaming me for stuff I'd written, so I'm really anxious leaving the house as I worry she'll go through all my private things & read my emails etc...

Anyway, I know exactly what you mean about writing the wrongs of the past - I yearn to have that little girl that I could love & nurture & be there for in the way my Mum never was. Hugs xxxxx

@tuxcat My Swamp Sister...there's no room for Ben Wa Balls. Too much other stuff up there at the moment. The friction would make the Viagra burn that bit more. Maybe I could take them with me for my solo dinner company at The Vineyard, when I'm out of the oestrogen phase?!
I may have solved my crinkle crinkle. The flatness of my outer hip/thigh area is great. God knows if it's absorbing as well, so I've hedged my bets. One on my tummy and one on my hip. I think they just need to be on a fatty area my pharmacist said.
@BlondeinBrisvegas Wishing you a wonderful day tomorrow, gorgeous generous gal (with no grey hairs!). xx
@Maxwellsmum How long did it take you before you were throwing up on this protocol? It feels pretty darn imminent.

We are in Brisbane - this is with Monash in Brisbane and I have booked an appointment with Warren but can't get in until Feb 27 hoping he gets another opening sooner . Can anyone tell me roughly how much they have paid to do a cycle with him?

I think the problem with trying to prove a cause/ effect relationship with corticosteroid use and things like miscarriage is that it's difficult to determine if the miscarriage is caused by the drug or the condition you took the drug for. For example say you have an immune issue that you are taking prednisolone for. You get pregnant but miscarry. Is it the prednisolone or is it the immune condition that was the cause? These type of problems are called confounding variables. Many a genuine researcher has come to grief because of them but some dodgy researchers 'overlook' this problem trying to prove that they are right. So a couple of things to look out for: does the research come from peer reviewed journals? ie have other experts in the field looked at the research and found no fault with it? And: Does the researcher have an agenda? Any conflict of interest is supposed to be declared in journals (such as working for a drug company that just developed an alternative drug to the one I'm declaring unsafe) but some people are just looking to support their own beliefs instead of doing what they should (proving the null hypothesis).
Not that I am saying the author isn't correct. She may be but I would check it out before I threw my drugs away girls.
