Sorry @greenlady I was about 48 posts behind when I posted and realise @BlondeinBrisvegas already did a welfare check.
@Spazzyp I like you mire now you mentioned wine. I gave up wine during my whole cycle. But there is a precious 5 day gap between egg collection & embryo transfer. In my experience, do what you normally do post egg collection. Even post transfer. A wine will relax you. There is a new tradition I am supporting that @Caesardust started that you show your empty post transfer. You could be a dry sponge on the sink all dried up, tense & twisted, or be like a wet sponge and spread out & relax..

    No judgement here 🏻

Hoping to get a clearer picture then and will then likely do amnio. Was looking forward to outing myself instead of hiding the pregnancy at work but now that will have to wait for another 4 or 5 weeks until amnio results come through.
Oh fruck Luv!!! (((Hugs))) Jesus bloody Christ!!! How the hell did that happen??? How frigging stressful for you both!!! (((Hugs))).

Am praying to the Universe that everything will be ok with bub & you'll get the all clear from the Amnioxoxo

@Gagingi - I did the panorama NIPT . It came back low risk but doesn't give me much comfort since it's only looking for the major/common chromosomal disorders. It also covered 5 of the most common microdeletion syndromes, but again that still leaves 18 other pairs of chromosomes to have a problem, hence why I think I will do an amnio at about 6 weeks.

    Hi Gagingi,

Thanks - so you spent approx. 7800 and got back 5300 with safety net. Making your out of pocket expenses approx. $3000? Sorry just checking I read this correctly.

Our clinic have quoted $6800 out of pocket before safety net plus $1800 hospital and $700 anaesthetist for egg retrieval. That is $9300 out of pocket (we have to claim the safety net and wait for rebate after) and the initial medicare rebate of $3800 (which they do straight up) which makes it $13000 in total for the first cycle of the year with $9300 out of pocket less any safety net rebate. Guess I will be calling medicare tomorrow for more info.

Do they have wild turkey lunches mate? Id go for that. Ive always wanted to be a classy lady who drinks bolly from a long stemmed glass, like patsy and edina on ab fab. Unfortunately, im a bogan. Although i try to make up for it by being fussy about my order. At least its top shelf and I will only drink it from a 7 ounce glass with a short straw. My local regular pub ran out of it one day, on the afternoon of the last day of school for the year!!! I walked up to the bar and the publican and other bar guy were having a huddled, hush hush convo, which afterwards they told me it was about which one of them was going to tell me they'd run out. Bar guy looked at me and ran out the door. Publican said, "can you just wait a few minutes?" I was like, "sigh... i suppose so but it is 3:30pm last day of school mate". Bar guy comes running back in with a bottle of turkey 5 mins later. He ran to the bottlo down the street and they happily served it to me in highly overpriced 30ml portions for the rest of the afternoon (i lie- until 2am when they kicked me out).

Thought the universe was frucking with my head for a while there.

I wish we had a transparent system like the US where you can look online and see what clinic has the best results.

    Hello to the new ladies.
Im thinking about that and reckon, theyd have to really categorise the group stats for take home baby too though, coz even if you did it by age brackets, you'd have to look at stats for age and the specific fertility issue/s too. Like id need stats for 36 years old and stage 4 endo i reckon coz the 36 year old general ivf population stats r useless for me. According to the stats for 36 years old, it shoulda worked ages ago. And you'd have to split the stats for single transfer and double transfer too. Im not sure exactly how theyd be able to acurately do it in a general sorta way, iykwim? But it would be nice if they did!
