I lasted 9 hours I think. I feel like I've been dragged out of a swamp this morning.

Ha ha Ive done both I really struggle with full bladder in general. My pelvic floor has prob been semi neglected though so it's mostly that. I'm not an exersize person at the best of times so pelvic floor crunches are not a priority. I cheated and snuck in a small wee a few times then quickly drank more cups of water.

I've been known to last 9 minutes a couple of times. Just try your best.

Yep that's it, wazza suggests 50/50 if sperms terrible to ensure you get a few good blasts to transfer.

@Blossom74, I had a guided transfer in my last cycle. They need to be 2 Doctors: one will do the transfer itself when the other will guide him/her by doing a scan (external) at the same time.
It was interesting to look at the screen: you can see exactly where your embryo is sent to.

I asked the FS the added value of a guided transfer and she said it doesn't make any diff really. (???)
They were 2 Doctors that day so they just went for it. Didn't pay anything extra since it's a cheap clinic.

And yes, bladder must be full otherwise they can't see anything on the screen... I was busting!

So I took the advice of I think it was @tuxcat.. I just pee'd when I needed to that drank a heap of water about 45 minute before my transfer. Worked a treat!

My transfer had a doctor doing the actual embryo transfer, and a nurse standing holding the ultrasound thingy on my tummy.

Interesting that Wazza doesn't do them..
I remember when I went for my scan when I thought I was losing baby Blossom, I had to drink three glasses of water. Now I don't drink much usually - I wouldn't normally drink that much in a full day! So when I got to the hospital I couldn't walk. It was awful, I was in so much pain. The nurse saw me and said ' Pee! Count to 15 and pee that long!" I did. Still felt full and still in pain. Ultrasound tech put the thingy on me and said "Your bladder is going to burst. Go back to the bathroom and pee for 20!" Did that and came back, she did the external, then the internal, and said "Pee again! Empty your bladder." Went - oh the relief! - and came back. Started doing internal again and she said "Your bladder just filled up!!! Go again!" I said I don't need to! She said "Go!" Off I trundle. Peed again like a racehorse!!
