This is my first tww and I don't know how you ladies have done it more than once. It's killing me.
I feel like it hasn't worked, I'm feeling no signs of anything and I just want to cry. Feeling completely miserable today

@Gingerlion yes you can get AF on the meds, mine came 7dp5dt on that type of cycle. However I also spotted at 7dpt on my BFPcycle so there's still hope! Are you going to POAS?
@mish239 hang in there. The 2ww just totally sucks. Feeling nothing doesn't mean it hasn't worked, I had more symptoms on BFN cycles!

@Flower78 interesting. I didn't get any spotting on my BFP that turned into a chemical. This is only my second go and my first FET so no idea what to expect. I've been peeing on a stick since day 2 (i know it's crazy but wanted to see what's going on) and nothing yet. My first cycle the BFP was at day 9 so let's see what happens. Blood test is on Friday so not long to know either way.

So, we just had a chat to our FS and because this is our second failed cycle she wants to investigate whether there is any endo impacting the result.

    She has recommended a laproscopy.

Have any of you had one? What was the cost? (We have private health) and what was the recovery like?

When in your cycle do you have it done?
Can you have a FET in the same cycle?
Is there a number of failed cycles you need to have before you're qualified to have one?
How much does it cost or does private health insurance cover it?

    Thanks ladies.
Sorry to hear Hun. I've never had a lap so can't help there hopefully someone else can give you some insight xo

Can I get my period while I'm on these drugs?
I had spotting with Charlotte's pregnancy (first time I've had it & first IVF cycle) my FS thought it was from the cervix though being annoyed with all the pessaries.

Don't give up hope yet Mish. I had headaches only and so thought AF was going to come until I just burst into tears from a comment from my mil. Took about 2 weeks after bfp for other symptoms to start around 5.5weeks pregnant.

AFM: off to the clinic at 3pm for my next u/s and to get my instructions. Let's see how the follies and lining are going fx well.

Who are you seeing? Is it Genea?
Do you have heavy or painful AF? The genea fs I saw suggested a lap, but I didn't think it was necessary bcos I have light AF and no pain and my new fs felt inside and said he didn't think I had endo.

Of course, I'm not an fs, but I feel like they should change your protocol. Elonva isn't really that great.. I don't know anyone who got a good response on it..

When my FS suggested Elonva, I ran away from her!! Where are you located?

I'm sorry you had a failed cycle did you get any frosties? Will you PGD any of your embies and remind of your age?
Yes AF came yesterday, right on schedule.

We're seeing Shlomi Barak but he's away so Dr Tinn Teh is the replacement and has recommended the lap. Because there's a family history apparently that gives you a 50% chance of having it.

Sometimes painful AF, but not heavy. We suspected endo was present before we even started TTC.

Elonva worked really well for us, we used it to improve the egg quality and it did that. We transferred a perfect 5 day hatching blast and we have 4 more on ice. It just didn't want to stick which has lead to investigating this a little further.

Age is 32. If this is the only way to know if endo is present we'd rather knock it on the head now instead of just wasting our sanity and money.

@reecey5 I have had 3 of these procedures to remove endo. The cost from the last one in 2014 was about $3500, I can't remember how much we got back, we also have private insurance but it only covered hospital fees and anaesthetic I think. She should be able to give you a quote on how much it will cost.

My last surgery was done by Jim Tsaltas at the Epworth in Melbourne, he was amazing. Surgery recovery with Jim was about 2 weeks. I was in overnight although this normally a day surgery. I was written off work for 2 weeks, was in bed for about 2 days before I felt able to stand. Was up and running perfectly fine after about a week and running again after 2 weeks. Worth doing I guess if she really thinks it's worth it. My only suggestion is make sure you know who is doing the surgery and how good they are and what exactly they will do.

added: your recovery will depend on what they find but I gather most people are up and running again in a few days if there is nothing to remove. Some people even go to work the next day, they are cray cray!

Your private health insurer pays the hospital visit and a portion of your anesthetic, which is an addition $600-$900. I didn't end up doing mine.
    Thanks @pingc383 :-)

Do you mind me asking why your FS was trying to get you to have one? And what is your fertility issue?

Hi @reecey5 ! I would personally do anything the fs said so you can rule that out.

I am a country patient and had a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy done at the same time. My specialist recommended doing it before I go to Perth to see a fs. This was back in 2011-2012 and in a public hospital so I was never charged. I just wanted to rule out whatever I could.

I'm pretty week when it comes to recover so I was in bed for a day or 2 vomiting but other then that it was fine.

Thanks girls for the support. So hard no having anyone to talk to. I fully burst into tears and had to hide in the toilet at work.

I know a lot of people are getting bad news and having a tougher time than me right now, so I'm sorry to moan

I will get home from work and go for a walk with the dog which should help cheer me up and if that fails - chocolate
