    Default Pregnyl for pregnancy support

I was wondering if anyone has been prescribed pregnyl to maintain a pregnancy after a loss? I've been told that's what I'll get along with progesterone pessaries (which I've had before). I did a bit of reading that I probably shouldn't have done and it says it makes you really sick?
    Can anyone shed any light?

Most of us in the ivf threads have been on pregnyl. It didn't make me sick. It was only two shots before and after embryo transfer to kickstart my body for pregnancy. I've not heard of it to sustain a pregnancy though, I've only been on pessaries until 10weeks to help sustain pregnancy.

Yeah I'd heard of it for IVF too. I am 4 weeks pregnant naturally and am getting prescriptions tomorrow. Google says that pregnyl helps maintain a healthy uterine lining during pregnancy but because it's pregnancy hormone, it adds to sickness. We shall see I guess!
