Default Do you believe in signs?

I couldn't find where to put this, hope it's ok here..

So tonight DH and I made a big decision about something we have been trying to agree on for a long time.

DH needed to go to Bunnings so he looked at the wall clock and said great, it's still open. I checked my phone and realised the clock had stopped. It stopped at the time we agreed on our decision. We're both pretty sceptical people but agree that the time the clock is now stopped on would've been pretty spot on the time

DH went out and about 5 mins later I let the dog inside. The dog ran straight for the garage door which was wide open. DH said I must've opened it but I didn't. I think he left it open but he said he didn't.

So I'm all shivery and wondering if this is some kind of bad omen.

What do you think? Clocks stopping= bad omen? Would you be freaked out?

No, I believe in coincidences. So many things happen every day of our lives, eventually some of them are bound to coincide, and our brains like to see patterns and meaning where there's really just random chance.

Good luck with whatever your important decision was though

I do believe in signs, but I don't necessarily think the clock stopping is a bad omen. It's hard to say without knowing what the decision was.
If it were me, and I'd just made a big decision that I was happy about, I'd be more inclined to think of the clock stopping as a 'you'll remember the moment forever' type of feeling. I would probably only get bad omen feelings if I weren't happy about the decision.
Again, that depends on what the decision was, so it's hard to say.

I want to know what the decision was?
For me if you've decided to bump someone off and you're seeing these things as a sign then it's your guilty conscious noticing these things and saying they're signs....

Oh in that case no I don't think it was a sign.

I've had friends had embryos transferred and it's due on her dad's birthday and he died like a couple of weeks before transfer. She took it as a positive sign. Still a BFN.

I believe in signs in the sense that we interpret them as such, and therefore it confirms decisions we have already made/are on the brink of making. Like a sort of confirmation bias.

But ultimately I believe in coincidence/subconscious cues.

Same signs end up with different events with me. Once it results bad, the next time it happens, I win a lottery.
So I'd say there are coincidences but the signs don't actually mean what people think!
