I'm wondering if my family is the weird one, it was FILs bday yesterday (Sunday) yet he wanted to celebrate it on Saturday with us. To me, you spend your birthday with your family, not other people, especially if it's on a weekend. My family always assumes that we're busy on each other's bdays as we'll always do lunch or dinner together. Still no idea what he actually did on his bday. They also always plan holidays for significant days, e.g. They're away next weekend for Father's Day and are often away for their own bdays. I get it that your bday is your own special day, but isn't it best spent with your family?!

    Not a clue!

So exhausted. DH dragged himself out of bed mid afternoon to help me out but is back to feeling pretty horrible.

I am making him eat and go to bed. He can sleep in our room and I will deal with the kiddos (dreading it but from past experiences of what DH is going through he needs the rest more than me).

Big day tomorrow too. Counting down until the weekend and the week has barely started...

What your in laws do wouldn't bother me at all. I think birthday's are a day where the birthday person gets to do what they want, and you just see them at some point around their birthday. Same with Father's Day etc. I celebrate Mother's Day with my mum around Mother's Day, but not necessarily on the day. I won't be seeing my dad this Sunday as our plans don't align with each other.

Dh's foghorn alarm went off waking me, DS and DD super early. We seem to all have a runny nose so yeah... Thanks for that.

Vaccination day. And DS has to come. I want to hide in a hole already.
